I think the disappointment of not getting the fight he expected and the completely opposite type of fighter he prepared for led to that performance.

To answer the other question, I think the weight could be advantageous if it causes Brook to be even a fraction slower than he normally is. But, I would have rather seen it at 147 where it belonged.
:TU: Thanks for your straightforward and courteous manner, from a fighters camp so close to a bout it is unusual.

Makes sense. Anyway thanks Bobby for being so patient with mine and other questions on here! It's appreciated :TU:

Be cool if Carson came on here too. The local crowd might boo him but I think the fight fans have a lot of respect for him.

To be fair mate I imagine he's just relaxing and rehydrating and having something to eat.

Just watched Jones vs Quali. That was a fun and crazy fight! Quali seemed to hurt Jones more in that fight than Brook did! Be interesting if Bobby reads this if Carson thought Quali hit harder than Brook.

Ouali is a murderous puncher he starched Saldivia in 1rd. Floyd Mayweather signed him because he dropped him sparring. Definitely harder puncher than Brook.

Yeah some of those right hooks Quali was landing were savage! Like you said though Carson gets hurt but recovers quickly! I imagine aside from having a good chin, it's also his conditioning! He seems to be very fit.

I am glad that Kell got a shock with Jones last time they fought... brook needed a fight like that to show him where his weakness lie... i cant see nothing but a stoppage in the 6 or 7th for kell...

Which is why I think it's funny that some are picking Brook by stoppage. Carson isnt going anywhere. The harder Brook tries to KO Carson the more vulnerable he will be to getting knocked out.

Also since Brook insisted on 152 the fight is contested wearing 10oz gloves this time instead of 8.

Who wanted 10 rounds? Can't imagine it was Jones with the way he performed in the second half of the first fight.

Kell and his camp obviously not too confident in his engine after being out for nigh on a year, not surprising after he gassed last time when he was more active

Which is why I wouldn't put any stock in his words about being in the best shape of his life and having all his old problems corrected. Fighters in the best shape of their life can make weight and fight championship level rounds.

Just for info Bobby, you can get 4/1 Jones with Ladbrokes and William Hill, who have shops all over the place. I'm sure you'll be able to find one if you want to back your man. Good luck anyway and thank you for coming on to the forum; we all appreciate your candour whoever we are supporting.

I have every email from Matchroom since day one of negotiations and I assure you they won't and can't dispute one word of what I have said. What I have said is 100% accurate.

While its true Carson has been over 147 for his last two fights, that's not significant for the following reasons:

The fight against Byrne was originally against Lee Purdy at 147. Carson arrived in London ready to make 147 and when the fight was scrapped and Byrne was put in on short notice the weight was raised.

The other fight in May against Travis Hartman was just a last minute tune up with no training camp. He just fought at the weight he was walking around at.

With an 8 weight camp like this, he absolutely could have made 147. Carson has no plans to move up.

Is there a fight weigh in limit?

I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean is there a limit to how much weight either fighter can put on between the weigh in and the actual fight? If so, the answer is no.
