Alvarez is more of a boxer than people give him credit for though. Some people seemed to have him down as a straight up brawler which clearly isnt the case. The problem is you're never going to outbox Mayweather *or atleast very few could*

No one at all in this era and only a couple in the last 25 years I've been watching, Benitez, Leonard and Hearns would have been brilliant bouts and Floyd would have gone in there to win.

I wasnt completely confident with the Garcia vs Matthysse prediction but ive always thought Garcia was an underrated fighter even if he's not the quickest or most athletically gifted.

Mayweather is so good because he's such an intelligent boxer but also has great speed! He's nowhere near as quick now as he was but he's still quicker than most.

There was a spell mid fight where Floyd attacked and Alvarez feinted a punch, Mayweather moved so fast it was cat like - honestly I watched it twice, that man is finely tuned.

I saw the same thing, I showed my wife and son about 5 times, they didn't get it but it was frightening, reminded me of a cat, he was gunna pull back and through a straight right but just feinted it, pure brilliance :TU:

The scary thing is Curtis that he's not even as quick as he once was! Cant be fun being in the ring with him.

We've all seen Floyd in his 20's though and that he is still leagues above in skill and speed is more of a testament to his discipline, he may go off the rails once in a while but he must work like a demon to get so good.

As Palooka said, Mayweather must train like an absolute animal to keep up that level of performance. The guy's a boxing machine pure and simple. Different league to anyone else in the game right now.

I think that could also be that he had run out of ideas and was just sooo frustrated, like you say he just seemed to give up as he couldn't work Floyd out and get close to him enough.

Floyd masterclass indeed

Is it too late to predict a Floyd win?
