I have to say I disagree mate, I was one person who spoke with Ronnie after he had been to my gym for sparring and at that time his only option was to fight Liam Walsh. Sounds great and for a title but the problem would have been that if he had won, a certain promoter would have basically been able to decide Ronnie's future fights for a long time and Ronnie's team would have had very little input.

He asked my advice on Tommy Gilmour and I told him that I could only comment on what Tommy Gilmour had previously done for my brother Lee, Lee had been with the Ingles for 6 years and had 25 fights and had been promised that after every show they would make sure Lee was getting at least an eliminator for the British title, it never happened.

Before we signed with anybody we spoke to alot of managers and Tommy was the one that came across most honest and it was refreshing, he didn't promise anything he just asked us that if we signed to him that we let him do what he has done for over 40 yrs. We decided that we had heard promises long enough and signed with Tommy, after 1 or 2 fights we were offered the John Murray fight for the British and after that fight the shot at 2 commonwealth belts before fighting Denis Shafikov for the Euro belt.

I'm not sure how much people understand the business side of boxing but the numbers need to add up for everybody before fights can take place.

It is my opinion that if Ronnie just carries on winning then the fights he wants will happen, he just has to be patient.

anybody going to this bill and can post updates...Ronnie Clark looks a very good fighter, had the pleasure to grab a chat with him before his exhibition in Motherwell. Top class pro.

Darren got caught cold!!! The one thing you can guarantee when Traynor fights is excitement!!!

It was a great night of boxing and i think all of the fans enjoyed it!! ( More than me, too much excitement is never good for a coach)

i'm looking forward to getting the boys ready for their next fights.

Yes excellent night of boxing. Was very impressed with the show. Good atmosphere for all the bouts. Yes Darren definitely like a tear up lol. Good character to get up from that first shot was a peach of a overhand right flush on the chin. Would of stopped many fighters. Had him winning all the remaining 9 rounds. Only problem I have is it's freezing in Aberdeen ha

geat night up in aberdeen,atmosphere was great,1st time ive been in the beach ballroom,great venue,big well done to all the boxers

I'm not trying to wind up the Clark team, but in my experience, losing 4-2 in rounds in Scotland probably means the foreign journeyman was worth at least a draw.

why just scotland? the same could be said about any foreign journeyman against any home fighter in the uk.

Agree with alba, happen anywhere:) I also had 5 round ronnie first 2, ronnie had him doubled over with body shots in 3rd and 6th and you heard h
Moan from balcony. Ronnies worst performance yet IMO but hey boy deserves credit he's very few journeymen who come to make it an awkward night and and try upset the odds. Well done adrejs:)

This was nothing like that. In honesty was probably good scoring Round 1 and 5 were close so the lad deserved those 2 the rest Ronnie won wide. There was also 2 knockdown in the 6th one from a uppercut that the lad tried to hold on but fell over and the 2nd a body shot again he tried to hold on Ronnie moved and the lad fell again. Both given as slips although punches landed.

I said before the fight the boy was decent and he proved that. He is very awkward and gave Ronnie a awkward a night work. Would say at times Ronnie made it harder for himself but all credit to Andrejs he gave it a go. I thought all fights were scored very fairly. Andrejs didn't think he had one at the end.

On route home from Aberdeen now. Last night was my first show as a inspector and what a show to start with. The crowd up there are bonkers. 4 good fights and fair play to all home and away boxers who had a go and made every fight competitive. Overall very good show

Agree Dougie, Been to Ronnies fights and that was by far the best show iv been too. Atmosphere was class, Organised, Packed, No mismatches with everyone there to win. Big pat on the bag to McAllister family on a succesful show. Hopefully you have Ronnie and maybe even Mikey Towell on the show so we can make the journey up and hopefully bring more dundonians up with us:)

On the Tommy thing, I'd say as well that he is always true to his word. Good manager/ promoter, will always get u the best deal

The next show up there mate and al be a punter. Get in on the atmosphere!! Lee is aff his rocker man, got the crowd going bannanas at the end! Traynor recovered well from the first knock down but needs to keep that hand against his chin haha. That was a peach! And Jamie, am sure Ronnie and Towell would sell enough tickets to get invited to next show.

Yeah I reckon more will go up as Ronnie struggled with sales due to last fight night where he didnt have a fight. Ill be telling everyone how good the show is. Is there any chance of Matty McAllister V Mikey Towell? Be a great fight:P

I said that to the guys last night. I refereed Towell in his debut and think he's a handful for most, proper pressure fighter. . Matty throws a lovely left to the body and is more of a boxer. I would like to see it if am being honest.

Matty v Pagan would be fun. Would also like to see Paul Allison v Towell.
