i'm not a particular fan of any of the british bantamweights. neither do i have any issue with them.
i wish them all the best. but there are injustices in the sport and this whole saga is a bit embarrasing

Depends, if hall lands heavy at the start butler isn't as solid as malinga and I don't believe he will be able take the punishment. Either way hall will be criticised if he knocks butler out early and criticised if he doesn't, if he fights McDonnell or Haskins later he will be criticised.

He has been constantly criticised on hear and other sites, I know I'm family

I think that the majority of posters were pleased for Stuey when he won the title and thought he had been lucky to get the shot. He won a good fight fair and square. The Ward defence got a little stick because there are other boxers in the division more highly rated than Ward - who is a good boxer. The bout ended to a cut and it was inconclusive really who was the better man. I've not seen anything but admiration on here for how well Hall has done - lots of people mention how genuine and decent he is and it's been nice to see someone 'real' who's lived a bit of life then go on to succeed.

Maybe because you are very close to Stuey you magnify anything critical of him?

Lot of posts saying he is only good enough to be a domestic champ not above that level

There's lots of boxers that'd love to be British champ. Domestic level was the very most Stuey would have realistically thought of a year ago.

It used to be the thing that a boxer proved to be the best in Britain, then the best in Europe and then have a go at a world title. It's a strange state of affairs when a world champion isn't the best in their country; saying that I don't think there's anyone on here that begrudges Stuey anything - he got the chance out of the blue and took it - everyone would have done the same.

5/2 Hall is with bet365, seems way too big for me, can't make me mind up on the fight which means I would be 5/6 each so there is definite value in Hall

Then none of us knows how good he is then, I'd not seen Malinga box before so couldn't say for certain he was a top class fellow. I said earlier that I liked that he'd lived a life before becoming a serious boxer - it's an inspiration. Stuey and Jamie are bound to knock heads again and if he's improving as much as you say then it'll be a good scrap.

If Stuey is training full time then he may prove a lot of doubters wrong, similar to Steve Robinson; you can't knock people for waiting to see though, they don't see him in the gym or day to day.
