Correct. The board do not recognise it. A 'Masters' title fight is a non-title fight in the board's eyes.
What I don't understand is if the board doesn't
Recognise a masters belt! Then how come it the bboc
Officials who govern them!?
I agree.
So a boxer can fight for a Masters title and BBBofC are happy for that (even though they don't recognise the body that issues them), yet if a boxer boxes on a GBA / Malta show then they will not be allowed to box on another BBBofC show because they do not recognise those bodies - on what basis do they (whoever "they" are) decide on what they do and do not recognise, and also what action should or should not be taken ?
Are these rules and regulations made up as they go along ?

They do not seem coherent and they do not seem to cover the recent changes in boxing.

Not only that but they are not consistent.
If there is a rule about something, then there is a rule - you can like it or not, but at least everybody knows what the rule is.
It seems to me that with the BBBofC the rules and regulations can be somewhat fluid, and also depend on the individual involved as to whether they are deemed to have contravened the rule or not, which can't be right.

If that's the case it cannot be right and it's no wonder there are charges of favouritism/cronyism/etc.

Don't quite understand what you mean by monopoly mate there is the ebf and various other white collar organisations as I see it boxers could always hand their licences in and get licenced by any body that they wish at any time
it's just that the board have far higher medical standards than any other body in the world and IMO long may it continue anybody who is not happy in abiding by board regulations can always hand their licence in I just don't understand what the problem is to be honest with you
No they dont. We've been through this before. They have the exact same standards as BUI and the other EBU allifiated national boards that I am aware of.
Bernard Dunne couldn't get a license with the board, but he could with the BUI, so there must be some difference there.

Is the Spanish board not EBU affiliated?

I might be guilty of being hard of thinking but as I understand it:
1. The Board DO NOT recognise Masters titles (this has been confirmed). The upshot being that in the eyes of the Board the Masters titles do not exist, so they're not a problem.
2. The Board DO recognise the German Boxing Association and the Malta Boxing Commission, etc. The upshot being that in the eyes of the Board. foreign organisations are operating on their patch.
If my understanding is even close to being correct, I'm struggling to comprehend why some posters are having a problem drawing the distinction.

And the guy who runs the Masters Bruce Baker, runs the Malta boxing federation and the Professional boxing Promoters association, hows that for complication.

I hope this doesn't make the Maltese cross.

There isn’t, both employ the exact same procedures and standards. The only difference is that the BUI have the ability to rely on expert assessment with regards scans. The British board have an inability to make a decision in this area.
In this the BBBoC are inferior to the majority of European boards.

What is wrong with the LBF - I thought the BBBofC were ok with them ....... or does it depend on who (actually, I can't be bothered !! .......)

Its the PBPA, and I believe Luca DiCaro is the Captain of the Maltese ship and the WBU Europe. Bruce is the UK representative of the GBA and Luxembourg.

My mistake typed in the wrong letter, Bruce Baker is behind all of it.
