Great win for brook. He deserved the decision. I thought he won it by a couple of rounds. He landed some nice shots throughout. Porter was wild and threw alot of punches but brook fought really well. Not many clean shots landed although porter worked the body quite well. Thought Brook picked him off pretty easily to be honest.

On a side note (I like to have a moan) the ref was terrible. Porter was blatantly using the head, shoulders and punching the back of the head. He also started holding the ropes when he got tired. Now thats fine but the ref was warning brook everytime he did the same. It was frustrating. I think if the fight had a stronger ref then the decision becomes even wider.

Can't describe how happy I am for brook. I have taken a keen interest since his amateur days. Really happy for him.

I thought the ref was pretty fair. Kell held a lot and could have been punished and unsettled from a more biased ref.

Ugly as fvck but if that's what you gotta do, that's what you gotta do. Brook's jab was outstanding--if under-utilised--& all the clinching might've been an eyesore but it definitely nullified Porter's work & I think was what led him to fading, too.

Do you think Porter was fair with punches to the back of the head and rubbing his head in kells face? The ref did nothing which is fine by the way if the ref is letting both boxers get on with it. Im all for it. Let them fight. However, one example would be in the 8th round when they came together, porter threw a couple of hooks to the back of kells head so kell just gave him one back. The ref split them and then told kell off for hitting the back of the head. Kell was continually told off for holding early doors but when porter was holding late in the fight he never really said much.

It was a minor thing but I do like a moan.

Anyway, its a great achievement from kell. Really really buzzing.

No, I don't think it was fair. I just think it was better than I expected, which was very little.

Thanks lads, i got in after a big night out on the sauce, i tried to keep with it but fell asleep after round 7. Watched it back now on all the best fights, great to see Brooks reaction when he got the nod, pure elation.

Porter held more than Brook, and deliberately so. Clever, as he made it look the other way round.

I'm not disputing any of that, but I expected it, and worse.
