Wlad's power looked exceptional last night. I really think Pulev has a decent chin but just couldn't take Wlad's bombs.

It was quite a physical contest with the wrestling and Pulev being slightly heavier(sure I heard that)?

Wlad did look shaky in parts, Pulev's left jab in the first was a beauty, but I still don't think any of the current contenders or our HW's coming through such as Fury or AJ would be able to take those shots. He's going nowhere for a while!

Wlad is great to watch when he unloads like that and isn't in i hope i don't get hit mode. Fury better hope that Wlad doesn't turn up if they ever fight.

Fury would get ko'd by Pulev, forget about Wlad.

I just realised I referred to Wladmir as VK in the thread title. After a few beers, I'm getting my Klits mixed up.

I think Wladmir can be spelt with a V anyway, can't it?

Far too easy to hit. Moving that mass out of the way will be impossible and he will get tagged at will. It's still boxing, not wrestling. Standing in range and leaning all over Cunningham is one thing...

The only way I see Fury lasting past the halfway point is if Wlad becomes old. That's his only chance.

Good post. One thing I love to see is a fighter with the skill / knowledge to utilise an advantage. I can't stand wlad but fair play to him he knows exactly how to exploit his advantages. I recall prince naz, he was so unorthodox the skills and experience that good opponents had, meant nothing because they were not used to facing a style like that. It's how he made good fighters look awful. Fury has not had to learn the pro' s and con's of using his size. It could be a help and a hindrance. I think part of the fury journey is going to include a devastating loss, other than his disciplined performance against kingpin Johnson he just gets in there to have a battle. That approach will be his downfall against somebody better.

Great performance by Wlad, whose racked up some damn good wins in his career now. Haye, Povetkin, Pulev, Chagaev & Ibragimov are good wins for sure.

Pulev fought the right and wrong fight all at once and was simply outclassed. As Povetkin has shown, you can bounce back from this if you have the desire.

What next for Wlad? With his new contract with HBO tied up, and with this performance under his belt, I'd have thought all parties would be keen for a return to the US in the first quarter of next year. Problem is, who does he fight?

Stiverne and Wilder not going to happen. Don't think Jennings is very likely either as he is the mandatory for the winner of those two. After that the options start thinning out (well for good fights anyway). Glazkov? Based in US but Eastern European - surely a bigger fight in Germany. Cunningham? A mismatch. Briggs? Surely not.

All roads are pointing to Klitschko-Fury (assuming he beats Chisora). It would sell out in Germany or the UK, but crucially I think it could sell out the MSG with the Irish angle.

What is everybody thinking?

With the WBC's record with mandatories, Jennings will struggle to get his shot in 2015, especially if Stiverne wins, so I'd expect him to fight Wladimir next, the payday will be too good to turn down and the Stiverne-Wilder fight will still be there when he loses. That's a possibility for the US, then the winner of Fury/Chisora.

Crazy thing is that the pretty much undisputed heavyweight champion fights a top undefeated contender on Eurosport (which is still on freeview I think) and a second division domestic cruiserweight fight gets a PPV. How does that happen??

Eurosport isn't a freeview channel, in the sense that it doesn't come as part of the freeview package. If you buy a freeview TV set, Eurosport isn't included.

It comes on most Sky or Virgin packages, I think. So you don't have pay extra for it like Sky Sports.

I paid £2.99 to subscribe to the Eurosport app (on my iPad) for a month. Easy/Instant to get the app and subscribe, the quality was good, and as far as I'm concerned - It's a much better deal than Hearn's PPV and/or subscribing to a sky sports package to pickup Eurosport and Eddie's 'stacked' (stacked of one sided shit) cards.

I've just got to remember to cancel it now (unless they have something decent on next month too).

When I first signed up to Virgin telly, I wanted Eurosport so I could have all the snooker on.

I went for the medium package. (This is all very camp isn't it, virgins and medium packages....) Anyway, I asked the woman on the phone if that TV package had both Eurosport channels. She said yes, and read me a list of all other channels. You know, if I wanted to catch up with a lot of the hit US dramas, or contemporary cinema releases etc. After she read all that, I was like; "Yeah, but I will get both Eurosport channels?" She was like; "Yes."

And then before I booked it all and got the guy to bring my Virgin box round and other stuff I needed to plug into my telly, I was like; "Just to confirm. I do get BOTH Eurosport channels."



She must've been baffled, that I'd completely ignored some of the most popular television channels/shows she had been proudly telling me I could receive, only to continually bang on about a third-rate sports channel that nobody else watches. I'm surprised she didn't hang up on me.

I did the same. The stream was good, and £2.99 even if I only watch that fight was good value. I need to cancel the sub of course, but I will look at the schedule first.

Do the people that got the Eurosport player get Sky Sports on their telly?

It just always seems odd to me that there are sports packages that include Sky Sports, but don't include Eurosport. Being that Sky Sports you have to pay extra for, and Eurosport gets mistaken for a freeview channel.

I don't know if its his doubts on his punch resistance or it is actual punch resistance, but everytime (it was rare) Klitchsko got tagged with anything half meaningful he looked hurt and was wobbling (although as said it might have been the shear panic of getting tagged that made him seem hurt).

Although that's two fights in a row he's ended proceedings cleanly just as it looks like he's been hurt. Although Lepai was an inept challenger, I still think he gave Klitchsko a fright just before he got KO'd.

As for Fury vs Kltichsko... Klitchsko KO 2. If Cunningham can floor the big man, then Klitchsko will send him to sleep and early.

I got Neil Robertson vs Craig Steadman on in the snooker.

Eurosport is invaluable.
