GGG by 5 round beating.....
I ain't saying GGG won't win it. I give BJS one chance in 20. However, when was the last time you saw a one sided career ending beat down between 2 titlists?
I'd give BJS one chance in 50, and I honestly feel even that is a bit generous.
But he should take the fight anyway

For 3.2 mill? Definitely! I would spent a night in a hotel with Elton John and Gareth Thomas after overdosing on rohypnol for that purse.
All BJS needs to do is take a beating in the ring..... Errrrrrrrr

So you'll put your life savings on the fight if it happens then?

Other guys have lost to Golvkin and still have careers.
BJS loses. He has a year getting back to where he was. He rematches Eubank Jr.

I would strongly advise against that.

If you were an undefeated boxer who's rated in the top 5 by pretty much everyone, why wouldn't you want to fight one of the top 2 in the world? I'm sure BJS thinks he can beat anyone, why would he not think that way?
He should take the fight. Get's him exposure in the US, gets him millions, he gets to fight in a full arena for a change. What's not to like?
And get an absolute career ending beatdown... If BJS was scared of Lee's power after he had him seriously hurt, how's he going to react when he feels GGG's power.

Calzaghe v Lacy
Benn v Eubank
Eubank v Watson
Froch v Bute

Lacy had a career afterwards, so did Benn and Bute.
Watson, fair enough, but those types of endings, like Mclellan are few and far between. They equate to less than 1% of all the fights.

I guess we all know that this fight isn`t going to happen anytime soon, and to be fair to Saunders he`s been honest enough about his chances hasn`t he.
Still plenty of vaguely interesting defences for him to plod through whilst avoiding GGG despite whatever money they offer him.
Boxing nowadays,in a nutshell unfortunately.

one training camp for life changing career high money or 3 or 4 to not get anywhere near the money? If he loses he can come straight back at a decent level. Seems an easy choice IF they can get the right deal. And fair play to Billy-Joe if he gets it, he's earnt it.

The Fight is off, negotiations are dead, Warren is heading to another direction with a bout on summer.
What a shame and a slap in the face for boxing fans, we could have had an undisputed champion by September in more than 10 years..

Golovkin is levels above Saunders, everyone knows it including Saunders. It's a shame, but he'd rather hang on to his title than earn a career high purse facing a genuine elite fighter.

I wonder if BJS and W@rren are looking at a summer fight with GGG on Sky Box Office?
Saunders is definitely angling to have the fight over here...

Team #GGG at West Ham United vs Manchester City game, great atmosphere, would be a great place for a boxing match!

hypothetically,
lets say the fight is made in the UK in the summer at Upton Park on Sky Box Office.
Does the fight do bigger numbers that AJs last PPV? 400k-450k?

So not literally career ending, but you can't deny the likes of Lacy, Bute and Cotto have taken beatings that have left them diminished.
Not sure Jermain Taylor was ever the same after the first Pavlik fight.

I can't see allegedly going anywhere near a fight with Golovkin for Saunders. I suspect he was showing mock interest to satisfy the public. Didn't he once say he won't take a fight he doesn't think his boxer can win? It's in his own interests to have boxers in his stable wearing a world 'crown' for as long as possible so that it looks like he and allegedly are continually delivering British fighters in world title fights. Obviously a fight with Golovkin jeopardises this. Unless BJS gets restless I suspect allegedly will be happy to take him down the Calzaghe route of weak opponents - after all, that's where the WBO comes in isn't it? - with maybe a Chris Eubank Jr fight thrown in to milk and satisfy British public interest.
