You "Dont know if it was accurate" but you wanna spread the rumour here of course.
You know and I know that you are really referring to is when Marciano first turned amateur
back when he was on furlough from the Army and back in Brockton April 1946
when he fought Ted Lester in a n amateur tournament.
Marciano was so tired in the third round he lost his balance and accidently kneed Lester in the groin
and the referre disqulified him.

and does that mean now that the boxing history books have to be revised ?
I read it when I was about 12, don't know if it's accurate, but it's in the biography. He was out of shape, kicked the guy in the balls and vowed to never be out of shape again. Rocky marchigianno was 0-1.
Im pretty sure you must be confusing it with a biography of Bruce Lee that you read back then.

No, I hate Bruce Lee. Shocking as it must be to an illiterate like yourself, sometimes biographies lack facts. Can't remember the name of it.

Rocky 49-0-0 pro. Amateur-pro 1-0-returned to the amateur (a loss happened)- went back at pro.
He got away with breaking the rules but just the same it was an amateur fight that he lost.
Jimmy Bivins accounts for 1 loss, (2 losses?). You all know of Jimmy Bivins don't you((?)////I'm like broadcasting to FOLK here in BoxRec who truly truly know boxing and others who are "green/novice" about the sport! [I am a "10-of-10" & "bold knowing", too! But...boxing ISN'T EVERYTHING GOD BLESS BOXREC where can I donate???/// people do have different talents!]// but...Jimmy Bivins fought Joe Louis past Louis-Charles and it went the distance. I'm sure he fought a hand full of "well calibrated" boxers. Gonna look new at him after this. Always a joy viewing boxing records especially the historical HVY-wts (Corey Sanders - 2....I think his "record" is "beautiful"/ notice how he close)

Dude, I had an entire thread on Jimmy Bivens back in 2013.
and it aint my fault that no one else posted anything on it to keep it off topic.
BTW It was Jimmy Bivens wife connection to Don King and Archie Moore
that some may suspect he may have took a dive in the title fight with Floyd Patterson
(look it up if you dont believe me !)
