Lol, confidence has nothing to do with it. Wilder will still get his 4 million. Sucks he trained and didn't get to fight.

How do you know Wilder is still making that? I just read an ESPN article suggesting that purses won't be paid and that he'll have to win in court to get the $4m+

For what it's worth I stood a few feet from Povetkin after a fight he had in Berlin and he wasn't in the greatest shape then, I thought throw me a few hundred and I could go in there and beat him.

I once stood next to a bird and imagined I could fly.
They conjured up some phony excuse for the hype job bum, along with some mafia drug testing outfit in Las Vegas - a miniscule amount of a previously legal drug they allegedly found after repeatedly drug testing him - and how many of these phony Las Vegas drug tests is a guy supposed to take? - a drug related to stuff sold over the counter in the US - and he grabbed it and ran like a rabbit. Probably grabbed the first plane he could before anyone could change their mind.

Despite mentioning that VADA is based in Vegas (which is irrelevant), the above article does NOTHING to support your conspiracy kookery from the far reaches of the lunatic fringe!!
Margaret Goodman, who runs VADA, has been obsessed with boxers' safety issues ever since she was one of the fight doctors for NSAC. She has no history of favoring one fighter or nationality over another. In fact as ringside physician she screwed American fighter Chico Corrales over in his first fight with Cuban Joel Casamayor by controversially stopping the fight in the 6th round
due to cuts INSIDE Corrales's MOUTH!!
Corrales-Casamayor had a rematch after the controversial stoppage & Chico won the rematch. Trying to paint VADA as "corrupt" because it's in Vegas is laughable!!

I'm just kidding with you mate.
But seriously when I saw him up that close it wasn't impressive whatsoever, not to say anyone should underestimate an opponent but it's hardly like you would look across at him and be intimidated or think to yourself this guy has put a great deal of work into his physical conditioning much like say a Heavyweight James Toney for instance.
But unlike Toney who spent some time at Middleweight and Super Middleweight divisions I know full well a lighter James Toney can fight at a much higher level.
I've seen Povetkin fight on many occasions and I get his style completely as it works for the way his body operates or will allow him to operate.

Skipping all the bla bla bla name calling I looked up your precious altruistic doctor margaret goodman on healthgrades. Interesting comments by her patients.
http://www.healthgrades.com/physician/d ... #TopOfMain
And how does it work that a las vegas outfit run by a money hungry doctor gets to do the testing? Why not a Moscow outfit? Or a neutral country? As everyone knows, or should know, las vegas is the most corrupt city in the world, and doctor Goodman seems to fit right in!

Yes, of course...and hey I used to box and I've also stood next to famous boxers and it is often surprising how ordinary they look up close. Famous movie actors too. Disappointing actually. They look little. They looked bigger in my imagination.

I just looked at the first page of Healthgrades reviews for Vada's Doctor Goodman. I'll post it here in case they remove it, two out of the three:
- Mar 19, 2016
This is the doctor that first shattered my faith in the medical field. First I am young and she had to break a life altering diagnosis. MS is not the easiest thing to be told "the test came back, for sure, you have MS" especially over the phone. Seriously!?! I was on my way to work... Ruined my expectations of any bedside manner. She also kept prescribing medicine I did not want, or were addictive. Because they have the highest kickbacks. She's all about the money... Avoid!!!!

Yes, I recommend her completely. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. I was very impressed with her assessment and submission of the test results to my referring Doctor.

I was a young girl when I went to see Goodman. After being made to wait a month in duress with serious medical symptoms, I was completely written off and treated very disrespectfully in the process. I even overheard Goodman's jealous receptionist making fun of me to Goodman through the door while I waited to be seen. Goodman didn't listen or help, and missed the diagnosis of a major neurological problem. I've since been treated by a COMPETENT Dr., which Margaret Goodman is not.

Well I've been to a number of high profile fights and have rarely seen the elite boxers in bad shape, perhaps an opponent or two but almost all of them and have been in good shape.
The drugs issue has been around as long as I can remember and unless severe action is taken it will likely continue into the foreseeable future.

Rybanski sued King when Jones got popped. I know that was closer to the fight, but I'd expect he'll get his loot.

Just legalize it. It has become so freaking politicized - with Browne and now this - that it is ruining what little is left of the sport. There's a very fine line between what is legal and what isn't legal and it keeps changing and it comes down then to who has the better handlers to advise them on how to beat the drug tests, and I trust doctor goodman's las vegas drug tests as far as I can throw her. Just legalize the damn stuff because most elite athletes are always looking for any edge they can get anyway and it would be better if it wasn't in a back alley, and now this drug testing crap is getting completely out of hand.

I can't square that, you'll have fighters on all kinds of things and before you know it the whole show will go total ratchet.

It doesn't really matter, its an advantage, be it more power, stamina, or whatever. I heard it increases O² flow in the muscles, this means, you last longer AND you gain more muscles, getting stronger. Its no wonder Povetkin looks like a bull with 37, when he's been a chubby guy in his "prime". I believe every boxer uses legal 'unfair' advantages.
Even though i like the idea of the Olympics & am one of the few guys that watch it aswell... i only know of Dafne Schippers, a dutch runner, world champ of 2015. Busted for PEDs. About hockey, russians & dutch weren't even top. #1 been Canada, #2 the USA, #3 Switzerland... Russia was 5th & the Dutch were 19th.

I guess you're wrong, the Dutch men won silver and the Dutch womans won gold in hockey...
Daphne Schippers using PEDs? I've never heard of that, what makes you believe that? To me you sound like a drunk men talking actually.
Yeah, in 2012, but not 2014 when the russian (ice)hockey-team tested positive. And it doesn't even matter if the Dutch won Gold or not.
Schippers suddenly went way better, got more muscly, a bigger jaw, and acne. Typical.
Couldn't really care what you think like i sound, sorry.
Oh ice hockey now? You simply chose a completely different sport even? Also, Schippers was already selected for the top when she was a 12 year old lol. But you just randomly select based on looks or someone is on peds? Oke, sounds like very very reliable! Obviously I haven't changed my mind about what you sound like to me.

"It is unpleasant when pouring mud. I do not feel any guilt. I have nothing to fear. I took meldonium before his ban. We had an excellent training. I was well-motivated. Of course, I was upset when the fight was postponed, "- said Povetkin.
That was just during his press conference.

He's so stupid, he should've taken no drugs unless he was sick. If your well why take drugs.
Povetkin was thought to be ducking Wilder last year and Povetkin said it was Wilder that was ducking but now look. It looks like Povetkin is doing everything to make this fight not happen.
Wilder has done NOTHING WRONG so if you even look at Wilder to put some blame you are stupid like Povetkin.

Like Wilder has never taken an asparine, Wilder has continually tried to avoid top contenders. Povetkin is below the marge of 1 microgram (which is what's acceptable for WADA as far as I know) by a factor 15.

Should've known, since there was no regular hockey at 2014 Winter Olympics.
200m Sprint, her best time was 22 seconds, then suddenly running 21,6s record, instead of small progress towards it. Sounds legit. If you had any idea how hard it is, to increase THAT much if you're already on your limits... but sure, hard training does this, along with getting acne & a chin like a man, right?
