Breazeale is the only one who legitimately might wear him down. Would still fancy the plumber from Liverpool though.
Do you realize the bookies would have Whyte at least 1/5 vs Sexton?

I think Price is the more dangerous fight of the two being discussed here and the more interesting one for the UK fans. If he gets that lucky bomb in, you never know with that power. The media side of it will be slightly more entertaining. I still think the fight will be over in 3 rounds.
Molina will just be a punchbag for AJ but last 3-6 rounds with AJ warming up his jab.
It could be a crazy situation if Price did KO AJ, Lucas Browne v David Price in a unification bout at HW
If Price did land that bomb early on, AJ wobbles all over, Price comes in to finish, I can't see how a ref can't stop the fight. Who'd let Pricey have free range on your noggin? Still clutching at straws. But for that reason, I predict it will be Molina next.

Johann Duhaupas a gigantic threat? Come on man, are you serious?
A gigantic threat to go the full distance yeah. Don't underestimate his chin.
So he's not a gigantic enough threat to beat him? So maybe he's a medium threat who might take AJ the distance? Nothing wrong with that. No doubt that Duhaupas has a mighty chin, but has he got the heart to keep going through the course of 12 rounds being constantly chipped away? I'm sorry, I just see the fight going the same way. Probably a late stoppage with Duhaupas struggling to get any meaningful glove on AJ.
Going back to the original argument, a fight against Price sells more than a fight against Duhaupas. At the moment there is a limited number of names on the IBF top 15 which sell more than vs. Price. They just need a keep busy fight which is going to keep Joshua relevant to the casuals before fighting Klitchko in the spring.

Surely the fact that Eddie is lining Whyte with Chisora next, who beat Sexton twice, is a much more positive move in his career than fighting Sexton.

If it's Price, and it's a title defence, Hearn is little short of a criminal. No way if David Price a World Title challenger, and he shouldn't be advertised as one.

I think one finger should be pointed at the IBF. How they have him in their top 15 is beyond me. Is there any reason why Klitchko is not in the IBF top 15?

Fair point. Hearn would just be exploiting ludicrous rankings.

Let's put it this way, Wilder's a bigger puncher than Joshua and it took him 11 rounds to close the show. And he couldn't put Duhaupas on the canvas at any point.
And also, a Price fight wouldn't sell as well as you think. There's any so many mismatches you can get away with before people syltart wising up to it.

Have you noticed there's 4 Brits in the IBF top 15? Who do you think had them squeezed in there?

Well I think whether Wilder is a bigger puncher than Joshua or not remains to be seen. Wilder has a habit of making fights much more scrappier than he needs to do. He made hard work of Molina, Duhaupas and Szpilka. He's pretty sloppy with his technique and has spells of inviting the opponent back into the fight, when he should be closing the fight out. Duhaupas lost to Teper, who recently lost to Hammer, are we supposed to read loads into that too?

Look at what he did to Szpilka and Liakhovich. That's one punch KO power Joshua's never shown. Also, his power is proven at a higher level.
Duhaupas didn't lose to Teper, he was blatantly robbed. Don't get me wrong, Duhaupas isn't a world beater or even in the top 10, but is certainly a better option than what Eddie's offering.

I disagree, regardless of recent form Price is still a very dangerous fight and it just makes business sense. With all the rumors swirling about Pricey dropping AJ in sparring its an easy sell. Plus, wouldn't you rather see 2 brits go at it? It's not too often you get a world title fight involving 2 UK fighters.
Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that Price would win, but if he can find some form I believe his style can cause problems for AJ. As for AJ's power, I do believe its over rated, he doesn't knock guys out they are all TKO's, I think when he starts tidying up his work a bit he will start knocking guys out.

Price won't get the fight because he wants more money than he's worth. He's high risk because of his power but very low reward. Public perception of him is terrible- Joshua has nothing to gain from fighting Price.
Price wants big money to fight Joshua- that's the only reason he wants the fight to begin with. So he can cash out and retire with a fat paycheck.

Adam Smith (now growling like a lion who hasn't been fed in 3 months) "And THAT is what we're talking about Carl! Carl Froch - "Well I see it very much like when I knocked out George Groves in front of 80,000 people at Wembley. It's about who HAS it. It's about who's better and who wants it more. In this case it was Carl Froch!"
Adam Smith (growling so much he can barely be understood) "Fantatsic stuff Carl! And remember this event is only available on Sky PPV at the low price of £20.99! Please remember that if you book on the night it'll cost £25.99! [pause] And beat in mind, THIS [pause] will be a night you will tell your grandchildren about!!! Just like those that witnessed Gianfranco Rosi-Darrin Van Horn! Let's get it on!! Carl - any last comments?"

Price has the power. He just needs to go for it.
It's still not PPV worthy though.

Price is undoubtedly asking for too much money. He's only looking to fight Joshua for the payday and then he'll cash out and retire. Why would Hearn risk putting Joshua in with a guy where the public perception is that he's a big, stiff, chinny lump- when there's a chance with Price's power that he could land a bingo punch and ruin his cash cow? It's far better for Hearn to put Joshua in with Molina who atleast went 9 rounds with Wilder (Joshua has got that big showtime deal now and it's inevitable that they're building up towards Joshua-wilder down the line). If Joshua takes him out in quicker fashion than Wilder it looks good to the casuals and like lilywhite has said- Molina is probably asking for less money than Price is aswell.

Some of the comments today would be music to Eddie's accountant's ears:
"decent last minute opponent"
"regardless of recent form"
"will end in KO for someone"
Based on the above, especially as Eddie will have only had eight weeks or so to build the fight (since the Klit fight started to fall apart), I would like to suggest Smokin' Bert Cooper as the next PPV opposition for Joshua.
