What is this big November plan Asif Vali was on about? Surely not Pacquiao? What's the point/interest of that fight from Manny's perspective (other than money, or is that all it's about now for him?

If Khan can get a fight with Pacquiao then i don't blame him for offering Brook a guarantee only. Why take the risk of losing to Brook otherwise?

Brook should just take the guarantee offered to him, ignore what Khan is making, and knock Khan out. That will put him in a better position for future paydays. But if he doesn't want to do that, fine, go fight Spence and prove yourself a champion. Again, that will will put him in a better position to negotiate a fight with Khan.

Well Pacquiao is all about finishing his career with money now rather than titles. He doesn't make the events, he just gets paid a purse to turn up.

I just wouldn't fight Khan out of principle.If Khan thinks there's bigger pay days out there, then go get them. He's not interested in the sport or its integrity. No time for him. It's just pure greed.

I dont think its necessary about confidence in Brook. I think its just pure business. Spence right now is higher risk lower reward whereas Khan fight is lower risk higher reward. If he fights and beats Khan now (which no one seems to be debating) it 1) gives Brook a higher immediate payday and 2) raises his profile making the Spence fight a bigger deal in the process. Taking the Spence fight after Khan makes more commercial sense as he has banked the Khan money - whereas if he takes the Spence fight now and loses (which team Khan are banking on) he probably doesn't get the Khan fight. Eddie might be a pain but he ain't stupid.

Problem for people saying surely Brook will take the less if he fancies, when does he (as the champion don't forget) get to make the big money. He can't spend his entire career taking the short end and small money fights while Khan's ego continues to run rampant and he continues to lose.

Except that Hearn had Wembley booked for this fight in summer 2015 and 2016.

Spence's team didn't want the Brook fight last summer.

Wembley stadium was booked for this fight on 6 June 2015, but Khan chose to box Chris Algieri for $1.5m the weekend before.
Khan will always talk himself out of fighting Brook.
The difference actually is Brook is a world champion and Khan is a w@nker.

I'm not sure this is such a 'sudden' turn of events. Brook has craved the Khan fight for a few years now.
