Nobody's disputing it was a domestic level fight but the way Pigford took shots flush without even being shaken and kept his power you must think that if Pigford can just tighten his defense and get his chin down he could go to a higher level than this.
For much of the fight he didn't even seem to be up to Morgan's level, and I wouldn't say that's particularly high.

Very fun fighter, but he's got plenty of work to do to progress much further...

Howe was getting caught and hurt by exploratory jabs. No surprise. The odds should've been 10,000 to 1

Haven't seen it tonight's fight yet, but Daniels jab is generally an amazing tool and his right hand against a taller slower opponent was only going to end one way!

Every shot is hurtful. If his chin is good, we have a serious prospect

Allen should certainly give him rounds. I think Allen is angling to take on Cornish for the British after his fight next week.

Anthony Yarde up next, for me the most exciting prospect in world boxing, scary natural power and looks a beautiful boxer too, if he can take a solid shot then I reckon he goes all the way

Yes he has great power plus he has a good head on his shoulders and a nice team around him... that's a great start for a 19 year old prospect !

Plenty to work on (e.g. head movement and shot picking) but that just means plenty of upside at this stage !

It's a problem the other belt holders are on HBO. Right now I wouldn't pick Davis to beat them but that may change over me (except Lomassiah of course )
Well if Davis can continue to win against lesser known guys like Walsh and Tevin Farmer he's profile will continue rise. I think he beats Corrales though. But at 130 many don't have better wins Corrales and Berchelt. As good as Lomo is and hes levels better than Davis but AT 130 Davis has the better win of two.
At 130 Loma has Walters, Martinez, and Sosa

If Davis wins he'll have Pedraza and Walsh

Even assuming a win today, I'm not so sure that Davis's 130 resume > Loma's 130 resume
I don't that version of Martinez and Sosa isn't better than either Pedraza or Walsh. Walters was really at 126 even though Lomo came in at 126 at Walters wasn't proven at 130. With a win today I think its clear to me Davis has better but clearly ISNT the better fighter.
