He’ll be worth more if he fights and beats Loma. He should take this opportunity. Tell him.
What I think..
Canelo was in this position..
Mayweather made what over $50m against him whilst Canelo took around $7m.. even that he LOST, he became that draw and now is on the money..
CAnelo was a champion.. RING champion ranked highly by the Ring/TBRB/ESPN whoever.. but he still took 5-6 time’s less than Mayweather did..
Not comparing Loma to Mayweather btw.
Canelo earned $1m for the Trout bout, $1.2m against Lopez, $1.5m against Mosley & $1m against Cintrón.
Against Mayweather, despite being the B-side, Canelo earned several times his career-best purse (at least $5m).
So I'm not sure if I understand the comparison.

The fight against Mayweather was gonna sell anyway, because it was Mayweather.. then it took place on Mexican Independance day, it was in Cinco? Against a Mexican..
As I was said, I wasn’t comparing. Loma has been in bigger fights longer than Teo as well. Teo should take the money if he has any belief he will win.. beat Loma and then let the auto Big paydays roll on.
Let me ask you EO, put urself in Arum’s shoes.
What would you do?

From a legal perspective, Bob Arum is not responsible for looking after Teofimo Lopez's best interests. That's the duty of Teo's manager.
The promoter is only the producer of the boxing event – they don’t have a “fiduciary duty” to the fighters.
A promoter earns their money by promoting a fight card by creating interest in it, by maximising sales of tickets and television monies, whilst minimising expenses, such as the purses of fighters. Basically, maximise revenue and also minimise costs.
I believe that Teofimo Lopez should flatly refuse to consider accepting any offer for a fight if he isn’t being paid his commercial worth.
So I expect Bob Arum to either resubmit a revised offer, with improved terms, or find a cheaper opponent for Lomachenko to face.
I don’t support the notion that B-side fighter’s should automatically be willing to accept pay cuts or be paid less than their commercial worth, in order to receive an opportunity to gain ownership of the “keys to the kingdom”, because all this achieves is to line the pockets of their opponents, the promoters and also the networks.
Basically it's a case of... "please take a smaller slice of the pie, so that our portions are bigger?"

I agree with EO. As much I could care less what a fighter makes, I just want to see the best fight the best. But I put myself in the fighters shoes, I'm looking to get paid significantly more in a unification fight against arguably the #1 pfp fighter in the world. If Teos highest payday is only 750k and they're offering him 1.5mil. I can see his case for asking for more.

How much should Teo be happy with?

We can't know the answer to this, since we don't know the terms of the offer he allegedly rejected. His most recent purse, when he was only the challenger, wasn't disclosed either.
His peak audience for the Commey fight was pretty much the same as Carwford's, when Top Rank covered a triple header that included Lomachenko on the same fight card.
To be honest, there's not enough information to gauge this.
I guess Teo deserves a bigger payday than most of Loma's previous opponents (i.e. top-two in the division unifying most of the straps, ie. WBC franchise, WBA super, WBO & IBF).

Shame if this doesnt happen because Teo wants more , I'm confident he wins and that he'd reap rewards from it.
That said, we see so often guys hold out a bit and get more from it, so you might be a bit of a patsy just accepting immediately the first offers. Teo is a excellent young fighter with personality, a p4p type of guy potentially and lot of upside, surely Bobert and Top Rank are open to some flexibility with him

Everyone wanting 2019 money in 2020... really hope lopez signs it, or hope eddie throws over a Haney offer. Even if golden boy throw a very premature Garcia offer.
There are too many relevant light weights for loma to have an irrelevant fight.. and loma vs Felix Verdejo is an irrelevant fight.

Can't really take a shot at Lomachenko considering his high quality of opponents, he fought Gary Russell Jr(24-0 at the time) in only his 3rd pro fight for goodness sake.

Crolla was out of his depth, Campbell on the other hand did as good as can be expected against such a ring savvy guy as Lomachenko.

To be fair, we none of us know the terms of the offer Teo allegedly rejected.
Bob Arum is also an unreliable source of information.

Showtime/PBC just put a solid fights for rest of the year, including Spence vs Garcia. Bob Arum and Top Rank will look very very bad if they cannot made fight between two of their own boxers. Inactivity and lack of news about Terrence Crawford making me angry too. He is a special talent, Golden Bob should make some serious moves to secure top fight for this man.

From a recent interview..
This was said
“ Bueno.

So Teo Sr. wants Loma to cut his $3.25m by $2m.. because Loma is being paid more than he’s worth.. and that $2m go to his son..
This way Loma will be paid his correct worth and so will Teo..
