Let's try again. When did Frank Grant tell you Pigg Wilson's story was untrue? By the way, I couldn't care less what you claim you and Frank Grant got up to in Leeds nightclubs back in the 1990's.

If he wasn't name dropped in Bartley Gorman's book, he wouldn't be given the time of day.

And I'm still very skeptical on Gorman's story.

Fury was a below average pro, a big guy who wasn't a puncher. He comes across as a complete fantasist riding on his kids coat tails. I'm sure it's easy to act the hard man maniac with who he's related to. And I don't mean Tyson.

Dillian Whyte was doing a video with his 'brother' Dean Whyte (he's not really his brother but I don't really know much about all of that)and Dil dropped his brother in it I think joking that he could beat Shane Fury. 'Dean' or whatever his name is, is about 6'7 and gives it the hardman a bit, I think then said he was up for it. Cue Shane accepting the fight in a very un-John like fashion calmly saying if he wanted it he could have it. Dean did a video where he did a bit of bit of back peddling saying he wouldn't do a 'straightener' as he was an MMA guy and not a boxer or something like that. Excited schoolgirl Kugan Cassius continued to try and build the feud but by then both brothers stopped biting.

Ya, or he could just be a big guy with featherfists, hence 1 stoppage (a shoulder injury) in 13 fights. Just as some guys can punch some can't. His record shows very little power, and with big John there is very little to go on apart from that. He's from a family of arm punching slappers too, not sure if that's him or not, again, haven't seen him fight.

I'm sure being a pro big John was far more than Micky Theo ever was, but age has a way of leveling out things like that and the more years on the more that can change. Personally I am so hyped for this, let's get it live and exclusive only on Sky Sports

Well one of the familly of slappers , went and beat , a long reigning champion ,, and last i heard he stopped a guy who was un beaten , and looking to be proclaimed the hardest puncher of all time ,, and i can tell you now , he never commanded there respect by having featherfist ,,, Some guys just don't pocess ko power but will hurt you with most everything they throw .. This one will not even come to that ,,, Even against a young man who was inexperienced John would do OK , theres a lot too it ,,, This guy will not land a punch on john , UNLESS its ochestrated ,,, , Only way i would watch if its on U tube a few days after ... Actually if I recall rightly Kugan played 'Dean' Shane's challenge to him over a mobile on loudspeaker while filming Dean's reaction, which suggested he hadn't been forewarned about it. And now I think about it, Shane might not have sounded so cool about it at the time. So while Dean back peddled a little, you can't blame the bloke: you could see him thinking "Jesus, I didn't ask for this."

In 2006 at the U-19 world championships in Morocco, Tyson was on the English team. Big John was there with him. I was a R/J. We were there for about 10 days. I spoke with both Fury's a lot during that time. I found them both very nice to talk to. Tyson was pretty quite for the most part. John told me some interesting stories about bare knuckle fights. He said he didn't like pro boxing for himself as there were too many rules. I got a picture of me and him in a boxing pose and one were I'm standing next to Tyson with my arm straight up over my head just reaching Tyson's chin. I'm like 5' 9". John is a big dude too. I've misplaced the pictures and have been looking for them.

See, you've got a proper story that's cool and if true and Tyson fulfils his potential and retires as one of the heavyweight greats, then you're part of history. Kudos.

Currently the tension in this thread comes from some established posters essentially calling Micky, another established posters, a liar. Who knows if he'll be vindicated, or humiliated?
