The Arreola-Ruiz Jr. PPV will almost certainly generate more buys than Crawford-Postol.

It might even do almost as well as the Crawford-Khan, Jones-Hopkins II events.

That charlo card was pretty good. Arreola is a shot fighter and ruiz is a one shot wonder

If it does over 150k buys its a success no doubt

i mean sure, but i just dont see guys like sergey derevyanchanko or banana rosario doing much for ppv buys. if the charlos can carry 100-120k buys i'd think this can at least get in that region, if not higher

The target audience for that card was people like us who knew that was a solid card. That maxes out at 200k ish if most fans buy

The target audience for the ruiz card are Mexican fight fans almost exclusively. I dont know what that market is anymore

A buddy of mine just had prostate surgery. He's in bad shape because he lost 50 lbs and they had to cut through all the layers of skin. That's what's missing in all the photoshopped images. It's not possible to lose the huge gut without wads of loose skin and stretch marks. But there is a picture you can see the marks and he's desperately sucking in his gut.

I doubt that. Arreola is nothing if not durable. If Ruiz stops him it will be an accumulation, a grind him down process. Unless of course Arreola has reached the stage where his punch resistance suddenly deserts him. That happens sometimes, Johann Duhaupas being a recent example at heavyweight.

Arreola is forty whereas Ruiz is 31. Arreola trades on durability and toughness and even at his peak offered little else. Ruiz is a front-foot counter-puncher, who applies pressure, has boking skills in abundance and arguably the fastest hands in the division.

Ruiz's best win is Joshua and many believe he'd have beaten Parker on neutral territory. Unless you want to go back 12 years (Jameel McCline), Arreola’s best win is Seth Mitchell or Eric Molina. Not remotely comparable.

Arreola fought well in losing to Kownacki but then Kownacki's stock has dropped a long way since the Helenius loss. Even then while Arreola did well it was because he made it competitive, not because people felt he won. Ruiz lost to Joshua because Joshua was smart enough and adaptable enough to completely alter his style. Joshua knew if he fought Ruiz as he had in the first fight, the result was likely to be the same. Aside from going 1 - 1 with Joshua and the highly controversial decision for Parker, Ruiz has no other defeats.

The odds reflect the reality. I'm surprised you even posed the question.
