Moving on from the subject of people opinions of women’s boxing, are there any female referees that referee either men’s or women’s boxing matches in both professional or amateur bouts?
There are some women judges, so are their any referees out there?

i saw one the other day when watching the fight below
there was also a yank female ref named sparkle lee who used to regularly do mens fights

Nobody is going to pick a head trainer who isn't qualified for the job when it's their career and health on the line (except Tyson Fury).

The quality appears to be getting better and more opportunities for girls and women to participate to a higher level. Which is brilliant.
Love women's sport. Golf, athletics, international football, swimming, cycling are all things I enjoy to a huge degree.
But too much of what I see on Sky in respect of boxing is just really poor and added to the hype around world titles etc. etc. it's just not for me currently.

Fury isn’t going to be taught anything special at this stage. He just needs someone to hold the pads, get him fit and someone he likes. He gets bored so changes trainer all the time. Also if you train Fury you make your name and so he can probably underpay them to start with.

I've seen him eating lots of food and feeling sorry for himself. So have plenty of others.

The Olympics will probably throw a few good fighters into the mix soon. If they are good enough, they should be able to be fast tracked.

Just had a look at Terri Harper’s next opponent. Choi from Korea.
Turned pro at c18 years old.
First fight was for the vacant WBA featherweight title in 2008.
She is now 18-0-1 and everyone of her professional fights has been for a world title.
13 year reign.

Choi actually looks half decent for a woman boxer to be fair. Good solid jab - if a bit leaky on defence.
Its very difficult to gauge how good the opponents are that women face because their records can be very misleading ... Terri Harper`s record on paper looks very good; fought women with winning records since very early ... but then check on the names in the winning records and it shows they almost all been trash.
Whilst Choi has a decent amount of trash in her record as expected for a woman boxer - but watching a few of her fights on youtube, I would say they are better quality than Terri Harper has fought up to this stage.

I think it's great. The women are generally easier to like. If the fights are competitive then I like it.

Courtenay, Bridges and Shelids are extremely unlikable, could only name maybe another 6 female fighters, so for me the ratio isn't very good.

A well matched female bout is great. Things like Fujioka Vs Tsunami, Courtenay Vs Bridges, Taylor Vs Persoon, Tada Vs Miyao, Hawton Vs Flores. Sadly there is an overall lack of depth, and no division seems to have more than 5 or 6 legitimately good fighters in it, meaning there is a massive limit to just how many competitive fights we can get... HOWEVER we are now at a point where we get a few good fights a year, where Olympic and top amateur talent is coming through (the Indian women at the recent Youth championships were amazing), and we re moving in the right direction...
...I personally hope that we don't see Eddie getting bored of women's boxing when fans are allowed back in venues, and relegates it on his shows as I'll say he has been a driving force behind it picking up in the UK, and it would be a real shame to see that forward momentum vanish (and I can't see Warren leaning into it any time soon).
Problem is it's still in it's infancy (which is a shocking thing to say given how long female boxing has been a thing), but is coming along...slowly.
We also need to stop with the promotional shit trying to bolster it with inaccuracies. Things like "the first all female show" is just wrong, there's been about 20 of those at least. We need to let the fighters sell themselves, not use promotional gimmicks. Get these top fighters on major shows, not just the Katie Taylor's and Sarah Marshall's, but all the top ladies. Your Tada's, Tsunami's, Plata's, Valle's, Nava's, Hammadouche's and Juarez's.
Also it needs to be said that Seneisa Estrada has the in ring style to be a god damn star. This woman is the one that boxing fans should be pushing to the moon. She's absolute dynamite in the ring, scary powerful, and an exciting style in one of the divisions that does have plenty of talent. Estrada Vs Tada, Valle, Rupprecht, Gutierrez and Pastrana would all be great. She can also clearly move up to 108 (where Tsunami, Plata, Enriquez, Bermudez, Torres, all lie in wait)
