I like Joe Smith and was rooting for him to win, but I scored it 117-111 for Vlasov.

Some of the official punch stats don't make sense, Vlasov was landing far more and Smith was missing a lot.

How did Andre Ward have it 57-57 after three rounds? Vlasov clearly outboxed Smith in the early rounds.

The 115-112 card is disgusting. That's not close to the fight I saw.

I wouldn't call this fight a robbery. If somebody thinks Vlasov won close, that is fair. I don't see these ultra wide Vlasov cards but to each their own.

First time I've seen Milton live in the pros. My opinion? I'm removing him from my watch list! :OhYes:
Might I ask why?
He got hit way too often and solidly. Didn't look like a fighter going anywhere special.

To each their own, but I'll continue to keep an eye out for him. He's already stated he knows he has to keep improving on defense, plus considering who he was in with, defense wasn't necessarily a top priority. He had a nice KO that people will remember and showed good sportsmanship not throwing more punches when his guy was clearly out. If anything, I think he gained more fans from yesterday.

That's fair. Nothing wrong with that.

Did anyone watch Trey Lippe Morrison's fight? I had hoped we could get something from Trey but it looked farcical.

I have little doubt it was a fix.

Yeah it certainly looked like that. It was like WWE. Lippe looked very vulnerable.

Robbery = to today’s fan, anytime the fighter they think won doesn’t get the decision. I thought Vlasov won, but it certainly wasn’t in the top 100 bad decisions I have seen. I thought the Russian won 7-5. I thought Vlasov landed more and Smith landed the harder punches. Neither one is anything beyond an alphabet belt holder or will beat the best at it. Heavy

It was clearly a robbery for me. 7-5 is a close call, such fights can't be called robberies, but 8-4 is a pretty visible display of a one fighter being better than another one. I had it 116-112 for Vlasov.

Not every bad decision is a robbery but in this case the reason clearly was ''to make the guy that the business wants to win the winner''.

Joe Smith is a likable guy, not to knock him personally, but no way he won this fight. Yet another crooked decision of the 1000's we've seen before in what is probably the crookedest sport in the world.

You are correct. I just have trouble calling a 7-5 fight a robbery, but a lot of fans overuse the word. Smith is clearly the guy the powers that be wanted to win. I feel for Vlasov because he fought a really good fight, and, in my opinion, deserved a close decision. I tend to watch most fights with the sound off because the commentators have clear favorites

if smith-salamov happens next like i expect, they should do a double header with bertbiev-vlasov on the same card. winners then fight

Watched the Morrison and Anderson bouts. Well, the Anderson one was an expected can crush. The Morrison bout was weird. Morrison was down in the 1st, but the ref clearly missed that. Yet the most funny thing was when Bergman literally tried to bully a ref for ruling it a slip. Bergman's quit was strange too.

That Morrison fight was the worse fix in years.
