Thats the million dollar question is,nt it ,, If he can get the fights
His promoter Mr W arren needs to look after him. I think he will as heavyweight clashes generates a lot of money … and Mr W arren likes or needs the cash.

How many fights did Joyce sign for? … I just thought his manager Sam Jones (correct name?) is heavily connected to Probellum. :TU:

Joyce is not going on Sky so that rules out Parker. Ortiz and Ruiz tied up. Wilder probably fights on PBC. Fury is retired apparently. Usyk and Joshua not releasing any of the 3 belts anytime soon.

Bet you Joyce fights Dubois next in February.

World heavyweight title fight :yay:

Or the loser/winner from Pulev/Chis (probably the loser as Eddie likes to have options on winners.

It’s a good fight (the DDD rematch) but it’s not a progress fight for Joe who has treaded water. And tbh, if Dubs’ eye stay normal I’d fancy him to win a rematch.

Joe Joyce could end up having nothing in his career and become a meme in years to come.

I reckon after Hamer, Joyce will have another journeyman, same level as Hamer

DDD first defence of his “world shitle” will be a journeyman, same level as Hamer

Fwank, what a tosser

Whyte, Wallin or Bakole next I wouldn’t be gutted about but his career needs to be leading somewhere.

WBO yet to call a mandatory so that fight is so far in the future it’s unreal.

Usyk was the WBO mandatory when he fought Joshua,
Joyce is not getting called as mandatory till 2025

He needs a better management team.

Daniel Dubois whom Joyce jabbed to death without breaking sweat is now walking around with a cereal packet trinket round his waist and would be the A side if they fought again, yet Joyce doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

If that doesn't shake up his management team, I don't know what will.

gareth said he had heard rumors of parker vs lucus brown.... but that fight only makes any sense in aus of NZ so weird one for a sky debut.

As horrific as it is, if parker can make a million bucks to chin a 45 year old... then fair play to him.

That's a fight that would have made sense 5 years ago. Huni, McKean and Ahio would all make more sense if he wants a "local" matchup.

Love any of those, although I feel it is too soon for Huni and McKeen. Ahio would probably be the most competitive- 60/40 to Parker.
Parker needs to do something though, languishing like Joyce in limbo. Sadly they get paid big bucks for crappy fights. Like what use was two Chisora fights for Parker? Or anyone Joyce has fought as a pro besides DDD?

I think Parker’s best days behind him and he’s ripe to be shocked by an underdog.
That underdog is most definitely not Lucas Browne.

Parker would destroy Hemi, and murder mckeen. Huni would be kind of interesting, although i assume parker would be too experenced.

Joseph Parker Believes Joe Joyce Showdown Can Still Be Made

"The fight with Joe Joyce is a fight I'd love to make. But do you know what it comes down to? It comes down to egos. I know I've signed with BOXXER and Sky and Joyce is with BT and allegedly, but why can't we make it happen?" Parker said.

"There's many examples of other fighters that are signed with this team and signed with [another] team, they all come together and make it happen. Why can't we make it happen? It's a great fight. Why don't we lock it in and actually fight?"

"Joe Joyce has been talking smack on Twitter? Let's get one thing straight, I'm not sure if that's Joe Joyce writing it or not," Parker said.

"When I compare the interviews and when I compare what's been written, the statements, I'm questioning who's writing these statements. I'll fight absolutely anyone there is. I'm still waiting, I'm waiting for someone to accept the offer." Now I'm going to be working with Sky and BOXXER, I can't wait to see what we can do together.

"In terms of fights there's offers out to other fighters out there, top fighters, fighters like Dillian Whyte, Joe Joyce. We've given an offer to Deontay Wilder, but no one is taking the fight."

He needs to get his proportions sorted out, Dubois looks 3 times his size

Definitely deliberate, artistic licence and all that. In his mind, Dubois was a giant needing to be felled. David and Goliath. Slaying a dragon. Etc.

(I’ve got absolutely no fvcking clue about art)

Picked up a Boxing News this week. Haven’t read the publication in ages. Quite a good profile piece in there in Joe. Sounded like he was living the life training in Vegas, gaming and keeping his head down. Very admirable I thought. Not sure where all this Forum hate is coming from. The heavyweight division is obviously very weak and Joe is well placed to capitalise on that.

Ben Shalom: Offer is in for Joe Joyce to fight Joseph Parker, we want to work with other promoters

Boxxer promoter Ben Shalom says he does want to make Joe Joyce vs Joseph Parker, and has sent allegedly an offer.

From Sky Sports:

“Look at Joseph Parker’s resume, he’s never avoided a fight in his life. Joseph asked us to put in that offer, we put in that offer, it’s a huge amount of money. It’s a huge opportunity for [Joyce] as well, we feel. No disrespect to Frank. We want to work with other promoters. Shields-Marshall doesn’t get made unless we work with other promoters. Mayer-Baumgardner, our chief support — Top Rank and Matchroom are involved in that on our card. So that’s a direction we’d like to go in.”

It’s an encouraging statement from Shalom, and one that would serve fight fans and all promoters better if it were the normal way of the boxing world, but we know very well that it really isn’t, and every time it seems like that may be changing, the change doesn’t tend to stick long.

Two things to consider, both important:

• Warren’s Queensberry really have very few “marquee” main event attractions for their deal with BT Sport. Joyce is one of them. Sky Sports and BT Sport are competitor platforms. This does matter. Not saying a deal can’t be reached to satisfy the parties, but it is a stop sign on the journey.

• Joyce vs Parker was meant to happen this month, didn’t, and Parker signing with Boxxer seemed to end the chance. The chance for it to get made as Shalom is suggesting would require Warren and Joyce to essentially “give in” to letting Shalom and Parker dictate the event. Even if the money really is good and the opportunity great, that might be a tough pill to swallow. Egos can dictate plenty in the boxing world.

For the moment, Warren plans to have Joyce return on Sept. 24, and Shalom says he wants Parker out in late September or early October. It lines up to what everyone is thinking. Whether it lines up in the other important ways remains to be seen, but I wouldn’t hold my breath here.

On the Parker side, Shalom says they’re also “looking at” Otto Wallin, Dillian Whyte, and Martin Bakole, all of whom would be solid opponents at worst.

I'd be happy with any of them. I would probably prefer Bakole of the three but if Parker wants a quick turnaround then Wallin shouldn't be too difficult of a fight. Although, as far as unnecessary rematches goes, Parker Vs Whyte would be a good one after seeing the first.

Make the fight and show it simultaneously on Sky Sports and BT Sports. Easy to do, just needs egos to be set aside. I'd watch BT's coverage personally.

parker has a struggle with anyone half decent, all 3 of those guys would be tough fights for him

joe p consistently gets pretty good fights, i have no concerns for his matchmaking. big jo jo is another story though, that's why getting this fight is so important
