They over marinated it for sure. this was a fornicating mega mega mega mega fight if it happened 4 years ago.... its still a big fight, but seriosly this was thee fight in boxing. It was spence vs craw, and AJ vs wilder as the 2 biggest fights in boxing by a fvcking mile.MightyWarrior wrote: ↑23 Jul 2023, 14:17 Fight of the year.
P4P two of the top tier best around clashing, and yet completely under the radar.
No one is talking about it. it’s pretty crazy.
Did they wait too long to pull the trigger?
I think they clearly did.
Strike while the iron is hot, but these 2 waited until it was stone cold.
But still, when these two get in the ring, it’s going to be a hell of a fight
Im not in america so its hard to tell how much buzz is there (in aus, zero buzz).

This is going to have to go some to outshine what we just saw this afternoon.
Who knows, maybe it will

Possibly 4.
I got a bet with a guy who's going for Spence. Just to spice things up a bit.

And here's another bad thing.
I'm AWARE of it. I'm almost certainly not going to be actually watching it. There isn't really gonna be a way for me to for one thing.

So, now we can be sure, that it'll be a robbery, if Crawford fails to kayo Spence.
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. | TNT Sports PPV - 29 July 2023
It has taken until these guys are 33 and (almost) 36 to put this fight together.
It doesn’t even feel like a big fight any more for me.

This is still an exceptional fight. I'll be getting up early and watching,
I think Bud edges this, but narrowly.

DALLAS, OMAHA MAYORS ENGAGE IN FRIENDLY BET ON ERROL SPENCE JR. VS. TERENCE CRAWFORD
The undisputed welterweight title isn't the only thing on the line on Saturday as Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford meet in one of the most highly anticipated fights in years.
In addition to potentially crowning the king of the division, Saturday's megafight will also settle a friendly wager between the mayors of Dallas, Texas and Omaha, Nebraska.
Those are the respective hometowns of Spence and Crawford, and the cities' mayors have engaged in a bet regarding the outcome of the bout.
Eric L. Johnson, mayor of Dallas, proposed the bet when he posted to X (formerly Twitter), offering up a Texas-style belt buckle if Nebraska native Crawford were to win.
"@OmahaOfficial, how about we raise the stakes of the #SpenceCrawford showdown with a friendly wager?" Johnson wrote. "If @terencecrawford wins the undisputed welterweight title on July 29, a Texas-style belt buckle from @WildBillsDallas is yours!"
Johnson added in a statement: “I love a friendly wager and am eager to watch what is sure to be a competitive match between two of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport.
“Dallas is home for Errol Spence Jr., and I admire his incredible talent, grit, and determination.”
Omaha mayor Jean Stothert accepted the wager with a meat-based offering from a company that her city is famous for. Should Spence prevail, Stothert will send a selection of cuts from Omaha Steaks to her Texas-based counterpart.
“We look forward to cheering for our hometown champ Terence Crawford in his bout against an equally talented opponent,” Stothert said.
“His investment in Omaha's B & B Sports Academy demonstrates his commitment to our community and will serve as an inspiration for our youth.”
Spence and Crawford are both undefeated and are considered among the best boxers of their generation. With their respective mayors backing them, it seems as though hometown pride is just another thing the welterweight champions will be fighting for this weekend.

He always looks like that.
Like he’s half asleep.
Disinterested.
Even talking puts me to sleep.

Spence has got that laid back stoner vibe outside the ring, but obviously nothing like that inside the ring. I just had a thought it’s lucky hasn’t been busted for the weed yet, but it’s legal over there isn’t it.
Wow, this fight is a hard sell: getting highlight reel trash talk is like pulling teeth. it’s obvious both like each other, and they’re both extremely nice characters outside the ring. But inside the ring, Bud is a stone cold killer
but Spence is next level, and he’ll have to be because obviously so is Bud, and then some…what a terrific fight this is. We’ve seen Bud momentarily stunned a few times ( i think ) and Errol certainly hits hard, prob hardest hitter Bud has faced, he’s got a chance here of derailing the favourite ..

Fights like this should sell themselves really.. but it doesn't work that way.. (see Ward-Kovalev)..MightyWarrior wrote: ↑28 Jul 2023, 03:06 Spence has got that laid back stoner vibe outside the ring, but obviously nothing like that inside the ring. To cross over to the casuals (where a lot of ppv buys come from) you need to be a bit more mainstream. Appeal to the masses.
