fish eyes bullshits as much as eddie hearn - perhaps not on the same almost daily basis but still whenever he is on camera its spewing .

They are all guilty of it really and I guess its part of their role to push things out to test the water and create a bit of a buzz .

I have stopped paying any attention now to any of the plans and promises - tell me its a done deal with a date and a contract signed by both fighters and i`m interested .

Let fury fight another MMA guy if he wants to - but just drop the belt and let actual boxers fight for it and respect the history of the sport .

I think you are right. Time to zone out from the bluster and tune in once dates are announced and watch the fights that appeal and not bother with the others.


I'm contemplating watching the Joyce vs Zang fight but fear that Zang might just have his number and I'm not sure I want to see him take so many heavy shots again. So, in two minds about this one.

Fury vs Ngannou. Won't even bother to listen to it on the radio. The outcome is a foregone conclusion and it's totally one sided.

AJ v Wilder, I would watch. AJ vs Hrgovic I would probably watch. AJ vs anyone else and I'm not fussed and won't watch.

Eddie Hearns words not coming to fruition...it's hardly a 'gotcha!' moment.

I think with promoters they should only be judged on what they actually deliver. They all talk rubbish, overpromise and under deliver.

Eddie does it more than most as he does more interviews than the other promoters combined. Of course he’s going to say stuff that comes back to bite him. They all do. Frank W said a year ago that Fury/Usyk was an easy fight to make as it would be 50/50.

Three points:

1. He is likely to earn more for fighting Uysk than Ngannou or Jones

2. Why should sports fans tune in to see him fight if he says the sport and titles don't mean anything to him, and he takes on people who can't defend themselves?

3. His pay checks are good but I think his reputation will be that of a bottle job, and I suspect that will bother him further down the line in proper retirement.

Totally agree. Uysk has dealt with him.

It's interesting to see, and hear, reports on the Netflix series. He has reached a huge audience and is well liked, but his reputation has dminished in parallel i.e. people are getting to know him through Netflix, and enjoying it, but at the same time they are also asking why doesn't he fight anyone good.

So, he has shone even more of a spotlight on his unwillingness to fight the best.

Uysk didn't turn down anything. He realised that Fury was never going to fight him and had got wind that Fury was
A)not in training camp

B)didn't have a coach

C)had already done this Saudi deal to take on Ngannou ( have a look at the clip from February where Fury and the Saudi Prince talk about big news coming and Fury does a big wink).

Moreover, Uysk was trying to build the fight as he was in training camp, made a documentary with Gary Nevile, tweeted regularly about greedy belly and even climbed into the ring, whilst Fury hardly talked about it and downplayed the significance of a unification fight.

Fury has also come out this week and specifically said he has no interest in titles, unification matches or fighting Uysk.

Why does he keep his WBC title if he has no interest in titles?

It was fascinating to see just how angry John Fury got when KSI and Logan Paul called Tyson a bottlejob for ducking Uysk. Even the YouTube fraternity know the score, and John's reaction was a case study in the truth hurting.

That's why I think it will bother Tyson deep in retirement when he is remembered for giving Uysk and AJ ( and other's) the big swerve.

Will there be VADA testing for his fight with Ngannou?

It’s also about principle. Not something your man would know about.

He’d already bent over enough to get the fight. Everyone has their limits.

And don’t trot out the old line that ‘Usyks own team said they didn’t blame Fury for the fight not happening’. What the guy actually meant was, you can’t blame Fury for his demands given his massively over inflated opinion of his own value.
