Mayer was just too big, Jonas was constantly forced back, didn't hit hard enough to stop Mayer in her tracks, was walked down, head was knocked back a lot and was forced to hold.
I noticed that Sky didn't show their unofficial scorecard in the second half of the fight.

Start of round 9 made me laugh. Mayer landed a big shot in the first 10 seconds & rocked her back. Jonas had thrown at the same time but landed nothing of note & Clarke goes ‘huge shot by Jonas’.

I'm sure the elephant in the room is that promoters lack commercial faith in longer timeslots for women's boxing, but no reason they can't do 8x3 instead. Meet in the middle even and have 2.5-min rounds.
