top rank, his american promoter, has 2 world champs already. i imagine they would be the route to start, but the winner of that would be cool too

It was a masterclass of technical boxing.

Got knocked down in the first round so adjusted. Got his first two knockdowns via a left hook so of course his opponent was defending against that, so you could see he was looking for an angle with the right. His hand speed is phenomenal.

How little did that last right hand travel?, barely anything yet the torque was immense

Yup. Amazing shot.

I’m not too bothered by the Goodman fight. It’s not too bad but I think it’s a straight forward win for Inoue. Would have preferred Akhmadaliev or him stepping up to 126.

The collective *gasp* from the crowd when Inoue went down was amazing.
They did the same when Mike Tyson went down too.
It made the hairs on my arms stand up.
What a brilliant fight.

Inoue now dominating ANOTHER weight class

My eyes nearly popped out when Nery nailed Inoue with that booming left hand :o

While it was an amazing moment, Nery effectively signed his own death warrant. Inoue then got hyper serious and started throwing bomb after bomb. It was reckless, but here is a boxer who seems to be able to win a fight any way he so chooses.

Of course, Nayoa can take out his opposition with either hand, but he really went right hand happy at times. What can one say in criticism though ? :maybe: He totally destroyed Nery, who let's remind ourselves was 35-1 coming into this fight !

There's some tough opposition for sure, but IMO Inoue is the best boxer in the world today. :salut:

Truly unmissable every time Inoue boxes, absolutely phenomenal P4P level talent.

Good win for his brother on the undercard too, outworked Ishida. Akui is an entertaining fighter as well, applies constant pressure and always firing off combinations. Treat of a midday card for a bank holiday Monday, love Japanese shows.

I'll likely never make it to Japan but I would love to watch a card at the Tokyo Dome. Imagine. I think the vibe would be different but amazing all the same

Such an exciting fighter.

The way leaves chin out after throwing the right hand may catch him out one day.

He's got a chin but one day he might come a cropper

I've been to Japan a bunch of times - mainly business but 3 family holidays: love it there. Have seen sumo and baseball but never boxing.

Might treat myself to the next Inoue fight.

Posting my appreciation of what a special, special fighter Inoue is. Technically brilliant throws everything correctly and tight. Footwork bang on: you can have power but to continually be in a position to land on top level fighters, you need everything else.

Going to binge watch his fights later this week. I think it would be a dream to watch him fight live in Japan and just experience it. Reminds me a little of a German crowd, very appreciative of a good fight but very polite and measured. As opposed to the UK (though to be fair some good boxing crowds/fans at York Hall shows: just the bigger shows tend to be full of idiots/football fans). I think he'll look to make a run at featherweight soon. He's getting on for a smaller fighter maybe three years left in the game.

great shout Joe, would be epic if they could get it on in US or UK too, although understand he's the champ and can fight where he wants.

Inoue v Tank at 130 in Tokyo … the stuff dreams are made of

Apparently Tank and Ellerbe both said he would be prepared to come down to 130 for it.

there were nearly 60,000 people at the tokyo dome, far more epic than anything in the us. us crowds are often boring as sh!t, especially if no mexican involved
