BOOMER and Dave Allen strongly disagree with the DQ. Firstly they say Crocker was leading with the head all night and that the punch, although late, was not intentional.

They crocker was looking for a way out.

Home cooking they called it. Anyone else come out and said the same or is it only these two?

I nearly always agree with Allen but forget about the deductions for headbutts, you can't hit after the bell, 95% of the time fighters get away with nothing more than a warning but when you knock them out let alone down, your asking for it, add in the 2 points off, Donovan deserved to be DQ

It is held minus expenses pending a hearing.

That was late but not insanely late.

I still think DQ is the correct call. I guess NC would have been an option.

Late punch KOs should be severely punished. Iv seen so many where the A side just gets away with it… iv even seen late shot KOs given which is a disgrace. (can’t recall where).

A lot of fighters get away with it. Joshua does it in most of his fights and gets away with it.

Donovan was doing enough work with the head to make Warrington proud. It wasn't one punch after the bell it was two. Being lenient you could forgive the left, but not the right. He got carried away and paid the price.

Crocker was done though, dont think he was even bothered by the temple shot, more his eye being swollen and cut.

Not a bad decision I don’t think. He’d been dirty all fight and it wasn’t a case of landing on the bell, the bell went and then he unloaded afterwards. It’s a sh1tter but if you knock the guy out after the bell you can’t claim the win.

How many times has Warrington been disqualified?

Exactly. Had Andy Lee's lad been the A-side, would he have been kicked out..?

did warrington also ko a guy after the bell?

however bad it was compared to what other dirty fighters have done, it was warranted here

I think both were to blame with the head, and with them both getting "warnings" but only PAddy getting public warnings and points off it felt a bit one sided - then again he was the away fighter.

The punch was late, no too late/momentum going, but it wasn't a KO punch.. Crocker stayed down. He was getting pasted and beat up, but rules are rules - he stayed down and knew MMD was on his side and it worked out.

No winners really, MMD a tool, Crocker can take no pride from that victory and Donovan rightly feels hard done by.

It's a cheap win for Crocker certainly, but one that likely results in at least 2 more potential big fights for him. Once those 2 big fights are fought though, and he likely goes 0-2 in them. He probably don't get any more anytime soon.

I think he has been semi retired for a bit, he does a funny podcast and seems a very nice chap, perhaps he can go out on a win and then onto the next steps in his life. Did well I think, was in some good fights and won the EBU title. Always came across well and as genuine too.

do you think they will offer big money for the rematch? If he loses he can move up, Crocker really does look like he should have moved up a few fights ago, not to take anything away from Donovan who fought well. He was easily winning but two points deductions (I know the ref ignored Crocker's indiscretions) then the punch after the bell is asking for trouble. Do you think the ref was swayed at all? I have no idea as they were both MR fighters. I did feel for Donovan on a human level he was heartbroken. Billy Nelson I do not think comes across well, he does jar me, although he is always going to advocate for his fighter. If they do rematch I think Donovan starches him quickly. Credit to Crocker for fighting back in the 8th even when very badly hurt and with his eye closed.
