I have, and there isn't any evidence. Non at all. Zero. I think it's all in your head. I'd love you to prove me wrong, but I don't think you can.
Now I got to be your ABC correspondent? It's evidenced that you didn't look hard enough or didn't look at all. It's all over the Internet.

He can't. I suppose what he thinks is "Proof" is that Duran said this in his book. He still hasn't grasped the concept that it was Duran's job to train and prepare for the fight, and nobody else's.
It's somehow someone else's fault that he wasn't prepared to do his job.
We've been over this ad nauseum. He's a broken record on this issue he doesn't get it, doesn't want to get it, isn't going to get it. So I think we've covered it.
Yes, I could prove that it happened. It takes common sense of all the evidences. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.
Just like the moon conspiracy. That didn't happened. Now, people that believe that it didn't happen got to show you guys for evidences? GTFOH!

Well, as I can't find any evidence, yes, I'm relying on you. If it's 'all over the internet' that Duran's signature was forged on the contract, it should be that difficult for you to show me some.

Do you believe that Mike Trainer and Don King went to Panama City at hush hush to meet the greedy Carlos Eleta? Answer me.

See? It's all over the Internet. That's a fact. Not a fiction. They went to Panama to Carlos Eleta's office, and negotiated without Roberto Duran knowing anything about it. That old bastard Eleta fuucked him over, man!
What a betrayal!

Even if you saw it somewhere on the internet it would probably cite the source as Roberto Duran's book "Hands of Stone" which was written by Roberto.
So even if it's "all over the internet". It would be there because Roberto Duran is the guy who told the story, and people like elmer just ran with it.

I've never read Duran's book. Does it specifically state that someone forged Duran's signature on the contract. Yes or No?

It would seem as though all Duran would have to do if his signature was forged, would be to report it to the appropriate authorities. He could easily find himself any attorney to be his mouthpiece in that situation.
Instead, he just accepted his signature was forged and he was forced to fight ?
Seems as though fighting the forgery would be easier than going to training camp, dropping 50 pounds, or whatever it was, climbing in the ring , with the intention of splitting out his mouthpiece in the middle of the fight and saying fu.. it.

I don't recall that being in there. All the excuses about "But, but, but I was partying! I was celebrating my first win!" is in there. I don't recall a Forged signature claim being in there.
I think elmer is the source on that claim.

No I can't make people care or comment on things that don't interest them.
And that's a very strange request
If I had such powers of influence I think I'd find more important things to do with them.
Then how can I make a post that go viral with a lot of different people

No idea
If you're wanting to "go viral" it ain't gonna happen on this forum though pal. It's a hot topic if 25 or 30 people are talking about it around here
Maybe you could try Reddit or X formerly known as Twitter, and something may go viral, although to be quite honest I doubt it very much. There's only so many people in the world that know or care about fighters from decades ago. On Twitter you'd mostly just find people who like the current day fighters, and bring up old legends only to cut them down. On Reddit I'm not sure what if any Boxing discussion you'd find I've honestly never looked, but there seems to be discussion on just about everything else happening there.
It might go kinda sorta viral if you got on Twitter, and asked how Jake Paul might do against Sugar Ray Robinson or something

For the record I think Benny would've beaten Duran 2 out 3. Probably losing the 1st one

None of the 3 fights would be lopsided though I don't think. They'd each have to fight like hell for every round they got.

Eleta was authorized to sign contracts for Duran. Duran's Nevada boxing license from 1979 confirms this. He wasn't forging Duran's signature, he was signing his own name; Duran didn't have to sign. It's like power of attorney. And, it wasn't uncommon for managers to have this arrangement- it was legal.

There is a Difference between Durán handing over power of attorney to Eleta to make decisions for him, and Eleta forging his signature.
