Christ! what is it about these Tyson nuts?... the guy had a great talent, yes a great talent, but he should not go down as a great champion!... he was a front runner basically and a bully, ...the fact that so many 'fans' are still rabid about the man says more for their mindset than his suppsed 'greatness'..... he's besically a freakshow these days and has been ever since the Holifield fights.

There's something about Tyson that appeals to some of the younger ones. Generally they're fans of Tyson rather than boxing itself. Wish they'd go back to following the WWF :x

I don't rate either Tyson or Lewis in the top 10 all timers at Heavyweight but one thing you have to credit Lewis for is that he avenged both his defeats, something Tyson never managed... that shows a lot about a fighters heart and mind!. He doesn't even want to fight Williams again despite only losing cause of a busted knee!!!... :x 8) .
Greatness takes among other things that little bit extra heart and Tyson aint got it!.

This 4 page thread looks more useless now that Silkov The Great put it in simple and clear terms. What else is there to say more than the sraightforward paragraph above? Any discussion about Tyson nowadays has to do more with psychology and showbiz perversions than with the sport of boxing itself

you know the ironic thing is, its the tysonettes that perpetuate his misery, cos until he is done fighting he wont be able to move on.

He could make money in boxing outside the ring, trianing perhaps or maybe even commentating.

However while there is amarket for him, they will keep pushing tyson back in the ring, and its inevitable he is gonna end up getting hurt one day. Or he will pay for the unnecessary punishement he will inevitably take. Its ok fighting the likes of mcbride but he is at some point gonna be pushed toward sa top ten fighter and he could well end up taking a beating.

its sad to see this once awesome fighter being paraded as freakshow and boxing as a shell of his former self just for bucks.
