He only has himself to blame, throwing the last round away like that. I thought it was a very close fight.

Yes, but why coast in the last round of a championship fight when you're the challenger?

Actually that little stuff was alright. For the pre-fight hype. Better than the standard yammering they do. Though still with some of the yammering of course
The little video package where they were acting like it was a crime scene they had to cover up the first time was amusing.

I keep thinking of a Quint quote from Jaws - “I don’t know chief, either he’s very smart or very dumb”.
I’m wondering if triggering this immediate rematch was the only way Fabio could cope with the aftermath of that defeat 5 months ago.
Or is he genuinely going to do something special this time.
We’re about to find out.

A very competitive fight.
The winner of each round could only have been determined by the tiniest margins.
Gomez had the more aesthetically pleasing style, but that isn’t the criteria anyone should use to score the rounds.
It’s understandable for people to think that Gomez won, but a draw definitely wasn’t a robbery.
The DAZN commentators were terribly dire in this fight. They don’t know how to objectively describe the action happening inside the ring or score fights.
If you’re only a casual boxing observer, you’ll automatically assume DAZN’s commentary team are telling the “truth”, but they clearly aren’t.

This 'Sweet Caroline' thing has literally been pillaged to death.
FFS mix it up. Listening to pish heads droning on while that is playing is now becoming really annoying.
I just end up muting it.

Wardley will try doing a Clarke job.. it will backfire and Dubois will take over.

I had Gomez by 3. O Doherty did some crisp work but couldn't make a dent. He isn't a big lightweight but there's nothing he can burn away to fight at super feather.

I got the quotes:
“there’s the respect”
“This is what boxing’s all about!”
“We’ve got a fight on our hands!”
“He’s digging deep now”
“Toe-to-toe!”
“It’s all on the line tonight”
“A chess match early on”
“The atmosphere is electric!”
“Styles make fights”
“This could go either way”
“He’s hurt him there!”
“All the talk is over”
“It’s heating up now”
“Cacophony of Noise”
**FREE SPACE**
“They’re trading leather!”
“What a response!”
“Can he recover?”
“He’s on unsteady legs”
“This is turning into a war”
“The drama continues!”
“He’s biting down on the gumshield”
“Pure theatre!”
“He’s got to let his hands go”
“A test of heart and will”
“He’s come to fight tonight”
“Edge-of-your-seat stuff!”
“Barrera and Morales!”
"In the blue riband division!"
Or take a shot when he says any of them

Yep, that's how I see it as well. He's just going to roll the dice on trying to secure an early stoppage IMO, but Dubious will just pick him apart with the job. See a mid-rounds stoppage as Wardley's face gets busted up again.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑17 Oct 2026, 17:35 Wardley will try doing a Clarke job.. it will backfire and Dubois will take over.

Oooof. The camera floating over the top of the ring doesn’t paint a good picture of the attendance.

fornicate this is a good fight.
I really feel it’s a close fight… (well it won’t be close, either wardly will chin him or ddd will break him…) but it’s like a solid 60-40… ok Mabey 70-30… but it feels like whoever wins will win wide.
