Here's the upcoming fights for this week as predicted by Titlebout 2
As always based on 1,000 fights converted to %.

Manny Pacquiao vs Erik Morales

Both men known to train intensively.

Pacquiao decision 45.3%
Pacquiao KO 12.5%
Morales decision 25.0%
Morales KO 8.1%
Draw 9.1%

Morales comes in more focused than last fight, but Pacquiao takes a hard fought perhaps split decision.

Mariano Carrera vs Javier Castillejo

Both men usually in shape.

Carrera decision 45.3%
Carrera KO 9.7%
Castillejo decision 28.3%
Castillejo KO 5.2%
Draw 11.5%

Castillejo is 35 and moves up to middleweight. Carrera a fairly schooled boxer-puncher takes a close, perhaps split decision.

Lots of pretty big fights with unrated boxers.
John Ruiz's opponent, Ruslan Chagaev is unrated.
Brian Viloria's opponent, Omar Nino is unrated.
Mike Aranoutis and Ricardo Torres are unrated.

Til next week.

After a lull of unrated fighters fighting, here's this weekend's big fights as predicted by Titlebout 2. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/tb/
As usual the results are based on 1,000 fights converted to %.

Miguel Cotto vs Carlos Quintana

It seems like Cotto picked the toughest fight available at his new weight class besides Mayweather, so kudos to Miguel for not fighting a stiff his first time out at welter.

Cotto decision 19.4%
Cotto KO 33.3%
Quintana decision 19.1%
Quintana KO 23.7%
Draw 4.5%

A near pick-em with the most likely result being a Cotto knockout. I personally think that Quintana will survive to the end based on the Malignaggi fight which occured after these ratings were released.

Antonio Margarito vs Joshua Clottey

Margarito defends against another unranked no-hoper.

Margarito decision 54.7%
Margarito KO 32.4%
Clottey decision 4.6%
Clottey KO 5.2%
Draw 3.1%

Margarito cruises to a unanimous decision winning almost every round.

Winky Wright vs Ike Quartey

Ike unretires to try his hand at fighting in the middleweight division, where Wright is the best fighter by far.

Wright decision 57.0%
Wright KO 38.7%
Quartey decision 1.2%
Quartey KO 2.8%
Draw .3%

Even with no ring rust (of which there should be plenty) at all Ike just can't cope with the top notch boxing skills of Wright, who takes a unanimous decision by a wide margin.

Jeff Lacy vs Vitali Tsypko

Lacy takes on the unknown but powerful Tsypko, who comes into this fight at 17-1.

Lacy decision 35.2%
Lacy KO 40.1%
Tsypko decision 10.6%
Tsypko KO 10.5%
Draw 3.6%

Tsypko's main weakness is his lack of defense, so Jeff ko's him about round 9 with an almost even chance of Tsypko lasting long enough to lose a unanimous decision.

Rey Bautista vs Giovanni Andrade

Rey moves up to junior feather against the vastly more experienced Andrade.

Bautista decision 9.6%
Bautista KO 15.0%
Andrade decision 19.7%
Andrade KO 53.4%
Draw 2.3%

Even at the age of 36, Andrade has too much for rising star Bautista. Not sure who is actually favored in Vegas for this fight, but the computer seems to think Andrade wins by KO.

That's it for this week! Be back soon with more picks.
