Maybe jumping the gun a little, for all we know its only back online temporarily so Oliver can get his articles etc. I don't think I have ever looked at the writer profiles - the articles haven't been updated. Who knows exactly whats happening.

Was Spud down as a writer for the site? Even if so, was he down as a writer just before it temporarily closed. Perhaps he decided he had penned his last article for the site, but still was on board in another capacity.... I don't know, merely thinking of another suggestion (probably more feasible IMO).

I think there is a reason why news sites don't usually have a forum. More often than not, if they do they usually get shut down. Of course there are a few - but some of these I consider "forum based with a bit of news"... ESB is an example of this IMO, Boxingranks was also an example of this.

The two sites I most frequently visit have never needed forums and I would think they are the two most frequently viewed - Fightnews (global) and Britishboxing.net (domestic).

Five smilies for that one.

They need to get a hysterical laughing emotion for this board, the smiley face just doesn't cut it.

Correct, UKBP is not back as an ongoing concern, it has just been restored to the point where it left off for archive purposes and so work can be retrieved.

Nice to know people were reading it!

.....and like Oliver says, I had no idea it was being pulled either.

It seems to be up again today though?

I've written a Froch interview and posted it with BBN instead so it didn't go to waste.

I'm not interested in some of the Dynasty-lite bullshit I've just read from 2/3 on here but for what it's worth I always found Ben Carey to be a top lad and have had regular contact with Suze Nield, I even helped her with the Eddie Lloyd interview in a recent Boxing News.

She comes across as a nice lass, she's a good writer and it's a shame IMO that any time we as boxing fans want to vent our frustration we get sued or shut down (or at least they try to).

I've been a reporter on a newspaper for eight years and never been done for libel, but when it comes to sport it's a different kettle of fish...

Some good posts on here though, enjoyed reading them.

PS Boxing Talking or whatever you were called, I can speak for myself and Oliver in that we attend shows and don't just watch it on TV.

Let me know where I can read your work so I can learn more.... :P

Dear Captian Hook, I have never claimed to be a writer but have spented most of my working life in pro. boxing. To read some of the garbage you so call writers put up on these web sites makes boxing people smile. Is not surprising they get sued or closed down there no editorial control, Please tell me how many of you have had real journalist training.
