Bellew was expected to be on the commentary team for the Eubank Jr vs Benn card on DAZN but hadn’t commented on the situation publicly until a recent interview with iFL TV. Giving his opinion on the use of PEDs in boxing, he said: “I said this before and I’ll say it again – if a fighter failed a test after I just fought him for performance-enhancing drugs, I would go in the room with a f***ing bat and even the score. Make of that what you will.

I make of it an empty threat, Tony.

That was a shocker and now Hatton Jnr nowhere to be seen in any high profile position
It wasn’t on DAZN though, so his protest is a bit misguided.
I watched it on DAZN in Germany

Fair points.

I just got a gut feeling.

Might put your guy TS in the mire SPUD. Let’s hope not

Does anyone think Benn will relent tell the truth and reveal all resulting in plenty of people being in the 💩

Fight should happen.

168lbs. Benn can dope. Syrian commission. Wembley stadium. Jordan v Hearn chief support. Free eggs all round (any type you fancy).

You’d sell 100k for that surely.

When the dust settles, if both Fighters still want to fight each other, then the fight should get made

After the dust settles meant after an assumed ban, but let’s see how it plays out with all this money going into the defence

The average Joe will want to see it, in fact all boxing fans will, and of course the fighters will want the payday.

But should Benn be allowed to get that payday?

Of course you could say the same about Fury

Hundreds of boxers get busted, I’m not making light of it, but when their ban is up, yes I think they can fight again ….

I agree when the powers that be give a ban, the ban is served, they should be allowed to fight again.

Liam Cameron got 4 years for coke, I think Fury got caught for coke too, but that was ignored

I suppose what I'm trying to say is that there should be uniform and appropriate punishments.

I don’t disagree with you, but the reality is the quality of your Lawyer has an impact, this Mike Morgan is supposed to be good, so will be interesting how this plays out ….

I think the most he will get is a years backdated ban.
They will let it play out, if it's a longer ban they will just say the board is wrong and fight in Saudi.
Benn is a golden egg, too much money would be lost.

Personally I’m not really convinced Benn is going to be much of a golden egg in future. Think he’ll be tainted forever by this, and he was mainly living off his dad’s name anyway. Can’t see many people rushing to buy tickets to watch him now.

Yea but Canelo and Fury are genuine world level fighters who will usually be in big fights so will sell tickets regardless. Conor off the PEDs is likely gonna be a brutal ko waiting to happen if he steps up in class, which I think he’ll have to do if he wants to keep fighting as I honestly don’t reckon people will pay to watch him bowl over knockover jobs anymore, given they know he’s a cheat. That’s why, either way, I don’t think he’s gonna be a golden egg.

But I’m sure Conor is sick of eggs by now, golden or otherwise :yay:

agree, not really convinced he'll still be a golden egg after this, the backlash has been awful and he cant just beat up can after can anymore. he's never proven himself to be a top end world level fighter like the other golden geese either

Surely Sims would have wanted to know why he had a doctor in the gym with him? Any trainer I know would have said “what is he doing here”.
