I wouldn't ever defend fury anymore, but just to point out hearns hypocrisy (again), he was talking up AJ vs Ngannou prior to the announcement. So I wouldn't take his criticisms of the 'event' as sincere. Bearing in mind he also promoted that youtube nonsense.

Hearn’s just interested in making money and openly said he’d be interested In Ngannou against AJ. Apparently AJ wasn’t interested which is fine.
Fury though has said several times he’s not interested in the money. Yet he makes unreasonable demands for Usyk and he won’t fight a pro boxer this year.

I'm hearing Fury vs Ngannou will cater for the UK audience, which doesn't matter really because there's been plenty of notice for the US people/market and the boxing fans/MMA fans will plan every out
Rumour has it Ronaldo will attend the fight.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou - 28 October 2023
Fury hasn’t had it in him to step in with Usyk or AJ.
I fixed it for you.

Just watched Crawford deliver a masterclass and remove all doubt that he is no.1 in the World in his division.
Meanwhile, Fury is boxing someone that has never had an amateur fight.
Crawford has the bottle that Fury clearly lacks. We are lucky to be around and enjoy Crawford and Uysk, who take on and beat the best.
Thank god for those guys, holding up the flags for boxing.

You need to chill, Len. Way too early for this. I thought it would be Tony.

Sure he does. Crawford is criminally overlooked.

100%
We have seen incredible performances by Crawford and Inoue this week!
Whilst AJ and Fury fight irrelevant opponents and have their most competitive fights on a keyboard via Twitter and Instagram

Crawford and Spence made reference whilst pushing the fight what money their fight would generate. I'm pretty sure if they could have earned similar amounts facing tomato cans they'd have taken those first.
Fortunately/unfortunately Fury feels he can earn well enough without risking a loss .. that's understandable when looking at it from a business perspective.
But ultimately there is only so much money you need or can spend. And some boxers want to cement their legacy and place in the history of the sport. Fury clearly isn't interested in legacy; I think he will come to regret that.
Crawford will forever be spoken of within the ATGs at welterweight and even P4P greats
Fury will be a side note like Nik Valuev, John Ruiz, Herbie Hide ...

If the majority agree with this. It seems they do. Then vote with your feet and don’t watch the debacle.of Luke Fury versus Francis.
I won’t pay for it.
Can’t be assed to watch it.
It’s Rocky versus Thunderlips. But that weren’t for the title. Oh yeah, it was a movie.
Bud Crawford a true champion. No diatribes. Just business. Conducts himself the right way. Spence tried but there was another level in there with him.

I think ultimately when the athleticism goes as middle age approaches, the stoppage losses start to mount up, that both Wilder and Fury do end up as side notes.

Good interview with George Warren where he debunks all the myths around Tyson ducking.

George is always a good listen. Doesn’t seem to get involved the promotional bluster and bullshit.
They tried to make the fight with 3 guys. AJ who didn’t want it as immediate future was planned, Usyk who withdrew from negotiations primarily due to Tyson being unreasonable on the negotiations and Ruiz who they claim had stupid demands (he disputes that).
Rather than pick someone else in the top 15 they went for the money fight.
I get it but it’s the man who claims he doesn’t fight for the money and by the end of the year the only pro boxer he’d have faced in the previous 20 months will have been Del Boy in a trilogy fight.
Interesting that George was saying Goldstar were responsible for the relationship with the new Saudi guys. Does Tyson need to keep Bob and Frank involved?

The writing is on the wall for Fwank. Tyson was an awful lot closer to Meaty Mick and he got the push.

Yep and when it does happen Fwank will become the jilted lover and tell all
