I don't think this is conflict will be resolved as long as Trump remains in power.
It suits the US oil and gas industry ..
It suits Russia to keep the strait closed.
It suits Israel to keep talking about the strait ...
It suits China, as they can accelerate weaning themselves off gas and oil ...
It probably also suits Iran, as the regime looks a lot more stable ...
