So who has any heavyweight beat in their prime?gregregegg wrote: ↑04 Apr 2022, 23:01 I prefer Fury and Whyte is drastically overated. I also want the chance of Fury vs AJ/Usyk.
But holy fornicate id love to see whyte chin him, just to see Fury/wilder/ortiz fans heads explode. those 3 have beaten noone good in there prime outside of each other and use there wins over each otehr to circle jerk them into the top 3 heavyweights in the world... So just for the chaos whyte by KO would be hilarious.
ya, chizz would defo be among the best guys wilder has beaten that's for sure, as high as top 2. says it all when wilder's had 45 fights and been pro for like 15 yearsGrilling Machine wrote: ↑04 Apr 2022, 22:49 Going back a bit, if Wilder had beaten Chisora I'd count that as his best win.
I still think he's dangerous, but relegated to the Hide school of undersized power-reliance that falls short at the top. It was always a roll of the dice if he'd land his Breazealemaker against AJ or Fury, but now seems very unlikely.
I've gone from giving him a 50:50 chance to 10:90. Although I did say I thought big-event pressure might get to him, and it feels fair to say it did. Also got to Fury, but his style's much better-suited to ironing out early-round nerves. For that reason I think Whyte needs to find success ASAP, else it quickly threatens to get away from him on attrition.
Fury's the favourite for good reason, but I'm hoping Whyte catches him so it turns into a fun watch.
Not many of note, its grim for everyone.mickey1975 wrote: ↑04 Apr 2022, 23:21So who has any heavyweight beat in their prime?gregregegg wrote: ↑04 Apr 2022, 23:01 I prefer Fury and Whyte is drastically overated. I also want the chance of Fury vs AJ/Usyk.

Well I'm pretty sure AJ's fans were proclaiming him number 1 prior to his defeats. Prime or not, dethroning a 39 year old Wlad who had ruled the roost for a decade is the best win for my money. The man who beat the man and all that. Also if you're going to include Chisora going life and death against Chisora, it's probably fair to give that as a primed fighter for Fury too given he did without breaking a sweat.gregregegg wrote: ↑04 Apr 2022, 23:37Not many of note, its grim for everyone.mickey1975 wrote: ↑04 Apr 2022, 23:21So who has any heavyweight beat in their prime?gregregegg wrote: ↑04 Apr 2022, 23:01 I prefer Fury and Whyte is drastically overated. -Usyk beat AJ.
-AJ beat parker, and ruiz.
-Whyte beat parker (bullshit head clash though.), chisora (sketchy decision though), Rivas (is he good though)
But noone else (and noone elses fans) are claiming there 1 and 2 just because they fought each other 3 times and there was a fight of the year, fight of the year is great but it dosent always mean your good, it does means you got hit a lot.....
For me, Fury and usyk are tied 1 and 2 And cant be split unless they fight each other, or start adding some depth of quality to there resume.
Maybe it's a typo? Surely nobody would pay that, would they? I genuinely wouldn't go for free. I live in the North West I suppose so it's a ballache for a boxing match. I might go for free if it was in Manchester but probably not.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑05 Apr 2022, 09:23Shocking!mickey1975 wrote: ↑05 Apr 2022, 09:11They go up to £6,500 on viagogo. Fury's performance in Chisora 2 is the best in his career by a fair margin IMO. He was awesome that night and won't ever come close to being that good again.Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote: ↑05 Apr 2022, 09:52Well I'm pretty sure AJ's fans were proclaiming him number 1 prior to his defeats. This era isn't so dissimilar to other eras. In the 90s, none of the American champions in Bowe, Holyfield, Moorer and Foreman would face Lennox for 7 long years. An undisputed fight would be a massive event much like back then.
Then again if AJ loses and Fury wins I wonder which fights generates more money. Fury-Joshua or Fury-Usyk?
Well I'm not sure I completely agree. I think his absolute peak was most likely for Wlad, who is a much harder challenge. Dethroning Wlad who is one of the most dominant heavyweights in history, gets massively underrated imo. It's not always as easy on the eye but it is a true chess match of 2 master boxers.jimmystone wrote: ↑05 Apr 2022, 10:25Fury's performance in Chisora 2 is the best in his career by a fair margin IMO.
