I stuck four hundred on Thompson via stoppage at 4/1 but I'm pissed off as I was going to stick two grand of my redundancy money on until my missus went mad.

Still, two grand back is not to be sniffed at, it's paying for me to go to Vegas for my brother's fortieth in October.

:TU: Nice odds! Pretty hard to win ever when it's priced at 200/1. Best for me was Prescott KO1 Khan at 80/1 but I could have had 125/1 if I'd shopped around.

Is anyone piling on Novak here? I just think 4/6 is great value for someone as good as him. His consistency is key for me with Murray's tendency to be inconsistent playing on my mind. Someone persuade me to do it :)
I won a fair few quid last night and I'm tempted to do the same. Got a sore head atm so I need to have another drink and make my mind up.

Yeah didn't expect him to win, just get far enough to "cash out", thought the odds were ridiculous though as he's not actually a bad player and the way he handled Taylor was pretty impressive. He "should" beat Thornton in his next match then the odds will be slashed again...

Yeah, it's always the case isn't it, the initial euphoria then 'DAMN, WHY DIDN'T I GO MORE?'

A factor for me is that I really want to see Murray win it for the British thing and think it would be awesome if it happened, so it wouldn't be so bad if I lost.

It's particularly annoying as I was so close to doing the two grand. Boxing's shadiness and my bird's tantrum gave me the cold feet.

Is your bird suddenly blaming you now for not going for it? :)

Right I've done it, all or nothing Djokovic :KO: Got it at 4/6, I don't think I would have done it at any shorter price.

Damn, the perfect time to back Djokovic was when he was a break down in the first, he was evens, now he's 8/15. I didn't even consider in-running. He looks to be in beast mode now.

Murray giving as good as he's getting, very even these two. I wouldn't want to be balls deep on Djokovic here.

That's why I didn't have a punt on it, it's an emotional roller coaster when you have a large bet on.

I would have backed Murray at the prices as I made it 5/6 the pair.

The thing in Djokovic's favour so far despite being a break down is Murray is looking like he's feeling the pace and Djokovic hasn't been firing on all cylinders yet.

I've not bothered. If your going on Djokovic now's the time to do it being a break down.

Yeah, Novak's 2/1 against now :o

Edit: They must have noticed the mistake pretty quickly because Murray took the first set and Novak went back in to 6/5 :D

gonna have to earn this money. i don't like how difficult Novak is making his service games. He's also gonna do himself a mischief with all this falling

Oh God this is so hard to watch

Crazy, he's not playing well at all, his serve looks vulnerable and of course the one match he doesn't look like Superman is the one where I have the most riding on it and also where I could have just enjoyed the match and Murray's win if I'd have just stayed away. It's funny, I thought I wouldn't care either way about who won but yes, it is about the money

Oh my god, what is this ridiculous montage they are playing during the change of ends?

yeah he's done. Noone could have predicted he'd be so flat though. He looked an absolute beast vs Del Potro. Murray is playing great though.

TBF Del Potro is a hard court player that Djokovic went life or death with on a unfavoured surface.

Very good value :TU:

Someone needs to nail a picture of Djokovic's first serve on a surburban tree somewhere.

I want Murray to just end it here and put me out of my misery, might even root for Murray now.
