What hurts the Diaz brothers is the evolution of the sport. They never worried about getting taken down because of their bjj, but it's much tougher to submit guys off your back at the top of the line now. Gatekeeper is a huge exaggeration.

Nick vs Cerrone would be interesting. Cowboy got his ass kicked the last time he fought a Diaz brother. Wonder how the "170" Cowboy would fare.
I understand the appeal of Cerrone but he genuinely might have the worst nuthugger fans in MMA. Worse than the McGregor groupies (who don't give a shit about mma outside of Conor) and probably worse than the Diaz fans aswell.

Cerrone is an exciting fighter but by all accounts a big asshole outside the cage. I've read stories about him doing some uncool things:
- Groping women at fan expos right in front of their boyfriends, basically daring the guys to do something about it.
- Making racial jokes in front of black fighters, assuming that they're cool with it.
Basically he sounds like a guy who thinks he's a big shot and can do as he pleases.

Be nice if someone smashed his face in for that kinda shit. Hate a bully.

On Russian TV (I read obviously) Khabib was saying that its 90% chance that he will fight Ferguson at UFC 209 for the interim title.

Faber is the perfect example of why MMA is so much better than boxing. I hated him in the wec, but the guy won me over with his constant willingness to fight anyone. War Uriah!

Arguably the second greatest ever FW.

Just watched the Northcutt v Gall fight. A few things 1. It's embarrassing Sage is on an 80/80 contract. 2. His boxing is shit and 3 he has no fornicating heart at all. He got caught and immediately gave up.

Watched the Van Zant v Waterson fight. Great performance by Waterson and gotta Paige credit for the fight she consistently shows. The night in a way was a mirror of UFC196 highly hyped striker gets rocked standing, goes for a shit shot ends up in a rear naked choke and gives up immediately. While a woman fights a rear naked choke the whole way until she passes out. Some of these girls despite their lack of skills(compared to the men) are showing the guys when it comes to how much they want it.

These gals may very well be mentally tougher when it comes to physical pain than men. They are biologically suited to give birth for crying out loud. After seeing my wife go through labor 4 times, one C-section and 3 naturally, I'm sure I'd be screaming for an epidural after the first contraction.
BTW, it was nice to see at least one retiree go out on a win this evening. Faber was awesome tonight!!! As he has been his entire career. I hate to see him go.

PVZ is just not that good. She got a huge amount of hype because she's a cute gal, but her skills in every facet of MMA are mediocre. She's young but she has a long way to go to be a contender.

Her and Super Sage are in the same boat.

I really don't think she's that good looking TBH. I think Waterson is better looking.

Difference being that Paige has at least some good wins in her(admittedly weak) division. Paige is a real fighter while Sage doesn't have the toughness to be a top level fighter and folds at the first sign of adversity.

It's an interesting question because Conor does have a win over Aldo and did move up to win the LW strap. However Faber did defend the FW title 5x. I think we all know Conor is realistically a LW and has been for a long time, a natural FW doesn't look like he was in Auchwitz for a few years at the weigh in. Unless he goes back down to FW he can't have a claim to be in the top 2-3 FWs ever off the strength of 2 top five victories when others have a lot more.

Cowboy would be my pick as the next opponent for McGregor.
I've heard that Cerrone hates him with a passion. And is very outspoken about it.

Not gonna happen. Cerrone after his last fight said he won't do 155 again.
McGregor has Ferguson or Khabib next, with Diaz being an outside chance at getting a bullshit title shot.
Have recently read though that he isn't sure he wants so much time off now as his baby will be born in may not March like originally thought. I don't know how you can fornicate up like that for when your child's birth is. Sounds fishy as fornicate to me though that he says something like this after Khabib supposedly has signed to fight Ferguson.

Hunt vs Overeem at UFC209!!!!! Overeem has no chin and I don't think he can stay away from Hunt for a whole fight.

Completely out of left field here but Aldo may be fighting at 208 for the interim lightweight title.
Coming from Ariel, he interviewed Aldo who also says that the original opponent he was offered for the interim title turned down the fight because his father said it wasnt the right fight for him. Ariel goes on to say as far as he knows the only fighter at LW in title contention who's father is in the decision making process is Khabib. He also tweeted that he fact checked everything A
Do said and it all seems to be legit.
Link from Q&A which is worth the read IMO.

Hopefully Hunt crushes him, but I worry that he's damn near 43 years old and that's gotta catch up with him soon.

KSW is doing a big stadium show in May with Pudz and Khalidov at the helm. Most intriguingly is the debut of Damian Janikowski who won bronze in 2012.
I'm really looking forward to 207, lots of good fights on that card.

Yep. 207 is yet another great card. Perfect way to end the year.
MAIN CARD
Amanda Nunes vs. Ronda Rousey
Dominick Cruz vs. Cody Garbrandt
Fabricio Werdum vs. Cain Velasquez
T.J. Dillashaw vs. John Lineker
Jessica Andrade vs. TBA
FS1 CARD
Johny Hendricks vs. Neil Magny
Dong Hyun Kim vs. Tarec Saffiedine
Alex Garcia vs. Mike Pyle
Ray Borg vs. Louis Smolka
FIGHT PASS CARD
Tim Means vs. Alex Oliveira
Antonio Carlos Junior vs. Marvin Vettori
Brandon Thatch vs. Niko Price
I am really excited about the top 4 main card fights. I believe Cain is going to show that he is the better fighter and that it was a cardio issue the first time around.

Werdum is such a hard fight for someone who relies in their wrestling. Without the threat of a TD Cain becomes just another decent striker. Not that he can't win just I think he doesn't match up stylistically against Werdum. Werdum can always walk into something though as his fight with Stipe showed though maybe he's got a bit more realistic about his striking now.
Awesome night of fights though, I'm really hoping that Nunes destroys Rousey and from what we've seen of Rousey training her boxing hasn't at all improved. I think Nunes' black belt could make it interesting if/when it hits the mat. If Ronda charges forward like she did against Holly and let's be honest she probably will there's no plan b in her strikingly and her corner is shit Amanda will put her to sleep. Gonna be a sick fight either way.

I love watching TJ fight, so I'm really looking forward to his fight. Also looking forward to Ronda/Nunes; I always enjoy WMMA and even though I can't stand Rousey anymore this match will be intriguing.
And I'm hoping Bigg Rigg can get back on track. So many intriguing fights for him still but he's been crap lately.
