What a mental days play. I dipped in to England at lunch at 4/6, they obviously went longer than that but I was in a meeting all afternoon so had to take what i could. (I know they were as short as 1/7 but what did they go out to?).

We've surely got the best of the batting conditions now, lets hope we pile on the runs tomorrow....

The biggest I seen them was around 6/4 they may have gone higher at some point.

Derry Mathews is 10/11 to beat the untested Tommy Coyle at the weekend. Only time I seen Coyle was in PF and didn't think much.

Peter McDonagh is fighting a novice in Patrick Murphy over here tomorrow. He was as high as 10/1 to win a few days ago and is now down to 15/8 with some bookies. Can still be got at 6/1. McDonagh is always good for causing an upset now and again.

Khabib Allakhverdiev by KO TKO or Disqualification is 7/4 @ Boyles and 13/8 @ Paddy Power, same bet is 4/5 @ Stan James and a shade of odds against in other firms...

Close but no banana. Finished in a generous draw. Got good value out of it at least. The odds were all over the place for this one.

Taken Avalos, coyle, ogogo pts, selby stoppage and brook pts.

Brook is decent but I'm still not convinced by him yet although he should win.

Coyle/Derry - head should be saying Derry but for some reason I think coyle is going to do it.

Ogogo points cos I think boulder is a tough bastard and should hear the final bell.

Selby IMO is the real deal and although I know very little about his opponent, lee punches hard and the Romanian's record looks a bit padded to me (no doubt he will turn out to be very durable!)

Avalos is a speculative one based on boxrec data!

Gotta take Francisco over Avalos, certainly faced and beaten the better competition, he is moving up in weight but looked huge at 115.

I was thinking for tonight:

Ogogo Stoppage
Campbell Stoppage
Mathews outright

All in pays just over 4/1

Avalos taken it on work rate. Francisco started well but faded down the stretch

I put £10 on a Carson Jones win v Kell Brook; got 4-1 at local bookie so if he wins will get £50 back (with the stake, I thought it was a bit closer than this.

It is a stretch but if I was going to pick rounds they sound the most likely to me or brook on points its certainly not a daft bet as long as u didnt bet ur mortgage on it lol

Matthews v Coyle odds have just gone up and I fancy Matthews at 10/11. He's proven at this level and seems real fired up for this one.
Done and dusted. Both in rather dramatic fashion. Way too close for my liking but I'll take it.

I had a decent weekend with the Cricket and Brook stoppage, time now to blow it all on next weeks Open Championship.
