There is a contract in place. Fwank can't just break it. It doesn't include Escrow.

There have been contracts before where purses haven’t been paid. The contract won’t be with Frank, it’ll be with Queensbury.

I can’t see Frank welching on this one as it would get far more publicity than the other times he’s done it. I can see him playing silly beggars afterwards (particularly if Whyte wins) by delaying payments until the contractual position is resolved.

I had my concerns when Fwankie won the bid, its a lot of money. Then a little niggle when they tried to bully Whyte down a bit in the split.
But heck, the tickets sold fast. So hopefully the ticket money alone is enough to cover the purses.
And I actually don't mind the undercard, it's not great, but its not too bad.

I estimate the live gate will leave them with 6.5 million quid after all costs except purses. So it's a good start.

The promoter will then get circa 45% of both PPV revenue and international rights.

Unless the take up is huge domestically and worldwide I don't see how both Tyson and Whyte can get paid the purse bid amount. Presumably Tyson is on a sliding scale.

They'll all do okay and I wouldn't mind being a few million behind any of them.

I did mental arithmetic at school. It's fairly simple maths Mick. The 45% cut is known to be standard. Wembley costs circa 750k + 10% of gate + staffing and police. It's hardly rocket science.

How do you know the gate? Ticketmaster bought the gate and have been selling them way above face value.

Whyte's a drug cheating SOB, Warren's a thieving SOB, In an ideal world Whyte will get starched in a round and Warren will lose a fortune and boxing will be rid of him for good

The 45% isn’t as accurate anymore. It certainly used to be 40-50% but nowadays it will depend on the fighter specific deals with the networks (like AJ has/had a specific deal with Sky) and it’s usually a much lower % for the broadcaster.

Realistically it should be Joyce but I think Frank would prefer to put Dubois in there. Who else if it's not from Frank's stable? Nuri Seferi? Helenius? Hammer? Sanchez?

Why would Whyte pull out ? It's money for old rope, 8 million and he'd never get anything like that again.

He's doing everything right really. Having Joe Parker in camp full-time is great. Top drawer technical sparring and then bring in the likes of Miller to let the hands go. Fury is way too good for Whyte, I think.

Seen a few interviews from his team. They look genuinely happy with him.

They did a section on TalkSPORT today about the undercard being rubbish with them reading out people’s comments. As usual, Jordan was pretty balanced about it. They tried to get Frank on to discuss it with him but unsurprisingly they couldn’t get hold of him.

Parker doesn't spar with Tyson, they do train together though.

I was under the impression they did technical sparring ("touch sparring") fairly frequently?

Makes me think this is just a cash out & retire for Whyte. Either that or he’s a retard.

If he isn’t retiring it’s a bizarre move to fornicate off BT Sport & ESPN when you manage fighters. DAZN won’t be around for long so you need as many TV companies as possible that you’re on good terms with.
