Moved to Excel!

Thats real shame the Excel has to be just about the worst arena in uk for boxing I've been there a few time payed good money & yet to have a good view

The Heavyweights 3 Prizefighter has been moved from the york hall to the excel arena on the gounds that tickets are selling fast and they think they can sell 5000 tickets for this prizefighter and the york hall isnt a large enough venue

please not the excel !!!!

when i booked the tickets about 3 weeks ago i was told by some old biddy that the tickets for prizefighter had always been 40£ since it started.

It's the worse venue anywhere, sterile and void of atmosphere!

Earls Court would have been much better. Excel is a dreadful venue, really, really awful.

Albert Hall would of been a great venue for this one, and its got permission to have boxing there again.

Excel has all the ambiance of a warehouse.

bang on the button, its like a tin aircraft hanger. albert hall would have been brilliant as has already been said. wembley conference centre would even have been better.

Excel parking was a rip off last time i went for oakey - Spartacus. Would of loved it to been at Albert Hall or wembley arena to.

Thoughts? Audley seems confident, but then he always has...

Danny is running the risk of overlooking the others in a strong field if he's focusing on only one man. Easy to see him getting upset by someone else if he's carrying this attitude in to a hungry bracket.

Sprott seems a bit delusional, talking about world title fights.

Gammer seems more up for it than I expected; hopefully this has reignited the spark in a fighter who had fallen out of love with the sport.

Holden looks good too, but not sure how it is "his time". He was already on the verge of becoming a journeyman six years ago.

Did they purposely choose a super-short presenter to make the heavyweights look like giants (a WWE-style tactic)? It certainly wasn't for his knowledge (Gammer is one of the oldest fighters in the competition??) or his probing journalism (ask everyone the same question).

But a good vid nonetheless, for the insight into the fighters at this stage.

yes definately, you will be able to see from anywhere as there are those tempory 'stand' like structures there. in terms of a view, its a good venue, but its the general inertness of the characterless building, the expensive parking, the vivinity away from public transport...etc etc

same question 'how big is it to be be in this prizefighter', get diff questions.......

Vicinity away from public transport? It's got it's own DLR station!!!! Agree with eveything else mind.

I seen Harrison v Williams twice there already mind you the cost of tickets for both times was £150 this time least its only 40 quid!

the docklands has a weird vibe alround tho

I dont care about the venue, its the fights I want to see
