Dynamo Moscow have lodged a protest with the WSB about two results in their match with Los Angeles. In their opinion Vladimir Nikitin won all five rounds against Edwin Sandoval whilst Adlan Abdurashidov easily beat Raynell Williams but both decisions went to the Matadors.
Did anyone see these bouts? I have to say both results were a surprise to me based on the Russians career results and performances but I havent seen the bouts.

Week seven saw Baku continue their streak with a facile 5-0 win over Istanbul but Milan fell to their first loss 4-1 to the Matadors.Raushee got the better of European 123 champion Vyacheslav Goyan which might suggest he could be better at that weight. Eric Fowler and Terrell Gausha both beat useful Brazilians whilst David Imoesiri almost surprised Clemente Russo just losing a tight split decision.Other results were
Moscow 3-2 Mumbai
Mexico 3-2 Paris
Astana 3-2 Bangkok
Leipzig 5-0 Beijing

The WSB have upheld the compaint by Moscow and reversed the decisions at Bantamweight and lightweight in their match with the Matadors.Astana also lodged an appeal against their results against the Matadors but this was dismissed.
Strange going-ons.

Milan look set for the final in London taking a 5-0 first leg win over Baku, whilst Astana have a 3-2 first leg advantage over Moscow but will be hard pushed to reach the final with the Russians yet to bring out their big guns.

Individual finals barring withdrawals
54 Gairbek Germakhanov v Elias Emigdio
61 Adlan Abdurashidov v Juan Romero
73 Sergey Derevyancenko v Khaibula Musalov
85 Azamat Murtazaliyev v Ramazan Magomedov
+91Clemente Russo v Victor Zuyev
Russo and Derevyancenko defending their titles
I would take Raushee to win at 54 and John Joe Nevin to win at 61 but they didnt fight often enough to qualify.
Finals in June

The team final takes place later today at the Excel centre here in London between Moscow and Milan-Moscow names first
54 Vladimir Nikitin v Vincenzo Picardi
Both boxers have lost once in the WSB but Picardis was to the stronger J J Nevin whilst Nikitin lost to a pumped up Flyweight,1-0 to Milan
61 Adlan Abdurashidov v Branimir Stankovic
The Russian beat Domenico Valentino whilst the Serb did really well against Nevin. It should be 1-1 but Stankovic could surprise
73 Maxim Gazizov v Sergey Derevyanchenko
.The Ukrainian has a perfect 13-0 record and has already beaten Gazizov.2-1 to Milan
85 Olexandr Gvozdik v Imre Szello
Hard to see the Hungarian Szello winning here.Level at 2-2
+91Vitaliy Kudukhov v Clemente Russo
The Russian is a big puncher but Russo is arguably the best Heavyweight in the world and has a 13-0 WSB record. Milan to win 3-2

Any word on whether these will be considered "professional" bouts and will result in professional records? There was some controversy over the first two seasons of WSB as I read reports that the fighters were told that the fights would NOT count on their professional records but that fightfax counted them as such.

As far as I am aware all boxers in the WSB retain their Olympic status. Some boxers in the WSB will have competed professionaly-the WSB will accept pros if they have had less than 15 pro bouts. However the WSB retains the right to veto pros should they feel so inclined.
