Yeah I'll admit, not a prizefighter fan but that was quite entertaining.

Think it would be fair to give Webb a rematch with Fielding over 6 or 8 rounds.

I thought Rocky Fielding was quality - everybody will be watching him now.

Wtf was going on with that 28-30 scorecard for Ainscough? That was a joke.

Fielding looks a good fighter. Remember only 6 fights. Apart from degale groves and Anderson who is there above him in the division domestically. Smiyh moving to middle and nendy going there too. Prizefighter can be good platform for a novice like fielding!

Shame about that decision in the second fight if I was part of reeds team or I'd had a big bet on him I'd be raging. Similar bad decision happened in the last prizefighter.

Dilks looked very soft around the middle tonight and i think he took it a bit lightly, fair play he dug deep but I don't believe he offered people the best he could (if he was in better shape???)

Good, well matched tournament, wouldn't mind a few of these lads mixing together for a few more domestic scraps over 8 rds.

29-28 Ainscough must be 10-9 Ainscough, 10-10 even, 10-9 Reed if correctly scored. If you are knocked down, you're fighting for a losing 10-9 round, not a 10-10 round. Even the 29-28 Ainscough is crazy because you have to believe the 2nd was even but 3rd was Ainscough's? 30-28 is therefore surely an impossible card?

Was on Fielding at 11/1, laid some off before the final at 8/11 but still a satisfactory outcome.

Thing is the round Reed scored the knockdown he was defo winning hed hurt joe a couple of times for that to bea ten 9 round is a joke to score it 10 10 is disgusting

Yeah Reed was definitely winning it, was just making the point that there is no way to correctly give him 30, no matter how you saw the fight.

IJL hasnt a clue has he? 30-28, so he gives a guy 10 for a round he gets knocked down in? why not just get rid of scoring - even go as far as whats the point of two guys having a fight - if one of them is gonna get screwed no matter what..send IJL to Germany where they love a hometown decision.

Enjoyed tonight - Olympia is a great venue for fights.

Made up for Rocky. I was surprised at him entering because I thought the field was too experienced. but he did well there didn't he? There's still a fair bit to work on with him as he throws some amateurish punches, so he's only going to get better.

Webb looked quality too. He's one for the future.

Can't believe the Ainscough scoring. I was made up for him, but I scored it 28-28, and don't know how on earth he got the 30 off IJL. Madness.

I thought Rocky looked good fast hands, tall, long arms, big ticket seller and looks like he has found a bit of power all of a sudden he could go places but i think he needs to keep building as a pro

I think Fielding been a LH and the prizefighter rules not been too shit hot on weight restrictions made a huge difference tonight. That was one of the main reasons I had a punt on him.

Poor old Rio was knackered in the final.

I`d like to see a rematch over 8 rounds. Fielding did well, but I`d go for Ferdinand from a fresh start over an 8 rounder.

Will there ever be any consequences of the terrible scoring? An explanation is due at least. Utter bollocks.

Smyle was a nice shock. Tough man with an incredible physique. He just kept coming forwards with those hooks and uppercuts. Great effort from him.

They said that Smyle had been sparring DeGale, shows what a bit of quality sparring can do to bring improvment.

I haven't been able to see any of this Prizefighter, Was it a good one?
And is this the first time a boxer has won with 3 inside the distance wins?

Just got in from night shift and read this thread, sounds like i missed a cracker.

Had a tenner each on Ainscough and Fielding so happy days! Frustratingly though i had the first 3 winners, needed Dilks, a 1/4 shot, to win another £50

Regarding the dodgy scorecard, well, on a related note anyway. I didn't see how bad it was, but i've thought for a long time that a fighter automatically getting a 10-8 round for a knockdown is ridiculous. 10-10 or 10-9 would be fairer if the guy on the receiving end of the kd won the round. Otherwise it is a 2 round swing in favour the other guy. Prizefighter in particular where this scoring means the fight is effectively won with a single kd.

Cracking night of action. Not technically the best, but 7 fights of varying quality with enough even match ups. A good few reasons for some rematches in there. Would love to see Webb and Fielding over 6 or 8 in a proper fight where Webb isn't out on his feet before the start of the fight and I could watch Smyle again quite happily.

A couple of areas for improvement that could be considered....

That IJL scorecard was scandalous. It was plain wrong. But what is worse is that nothing was done about it. Everyone knew it was wrong, all the fans at the show and on TV, the Sky team and both camps. Given that Prizefighter is a made for TV event, surely someone from the BBBC or from Matchroom could have intervened and put it right? That it was allowed to go on unchecked brings the sport into disrepute as it is clear that judging inaccuracies are not addressed. I'm sure everyone would have been happy had an announcement been made to "correct" the erroneous scorecard - pass the blame onto some technical issue - it was read out wrong, there was a smudge, etc - to save the embarrassment of the judge, but surely one mans misfortune is more preferable to a whole sports scandalization.

This kind of brings me onto my second point. There've been 15 or so Prizefighters now with 7 fights per show, so over 100 fights and I can't recall a single draw (correct me if wrong). What is the mechanism for progressing a fighter if there is a draw? if this in unclear then maybe pressure is being put on judges to avoid scoring draws. This is easy when there are no knockdowns as judges just avoid 10-10s, but maybe IJL was in a corner having scored the 1st 2 rounds to Ainscough, so scoring 10-8 would have resulted in a draw. The organisers should make it clearer the process in the event of a draw. This leaves the judges free to score the fights as they should, with the proviso that they avoid 10-10s - a happy compromise. My method would be that in the event of a draw give it to the man with more KD's, but i'm sure there are other options.

I think they have said there would be an extra round if it was a draw - although I'm sure Sky have an involvement cause they don't want the show to overun.

Forgetting the Briggs v Klitschko fight, IJL is usually an excellent ref but his judging is often ridiculous.
There should be some sort of discipline action taken by the BBBC as it was just plain wrong for him to come up with that scoreline and only fuels the fire of people who think the sport is corrupt from the bottom to the top.
At the very least he should be made to explain exactly how he came to score it that way.
