Brook's got to put in a performance tonight, everything has been stacked in his favour to the point where I'd love to see Jones win.

Is there a fight weigh in limit?
I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean is there a limit to how much weight either fighter can put on between the weigh in and the actual fight? If so, the answer is no.
Yes that's what I meant , ok thanks

Let me tell you all a little about Carson Jones and why you should care about him and this fight.
Carson was born at Mabel Bassett Womens Correctional Facility to a mother who was in prison for dealing drugs. She gave him up for adoption at birth. He has been an underdog since the day he was born.
He did not start boxing until he was 15 years old. Had a pretty non descript amateur career and turned pro by a manager who was ready to use him an an opponent just a few weeks after turning 18.
He picked up some wins and some losses, never really trained for fights. When I got him he already had 6 losses.
The reason I signed him is back then I was in charge of the career of Allan Green who was campaigning at 168. Allan needed sparring during a visit to Oklahoma City from Tulsa so I got him a few guys and one the guys I asked was Carson Jones who was fighting at 154. I knew he was too small, but there was really no one around Allan's size.
So I am at the gym and Carson gets in the ring with Allan and was almost embarrassing Allan with the punches he was landing and how well he was doing. I was shocked. I wanted to know who this kid was. At the time Green was considered an absolute top contender at 168.
So I made a deal with his manager, bought out his contract and proceeded to start giving him a real chance to succeed.
He did OK, beating Brunson etc. But, the key to making him world class was moving him to welterweight which we did in 2011. From that point he started a string of 7 consecutive KOs. Several of them were against guys that do not get KOed like Germaine Sanders, Ricardo Williams and Said Ouali.
We managed to get him rated all the way up to #3 by the IBF setting up last years eliminator will Kell Brook.
We went into that fight being treated as thought him fighting Brook was completely undeserved even though Carson had beaten better names than Kell Brook had. He was an 8-1 underdog and it was almost embarrassing for Eddie Hearn because of the press reaction to the matchup.
Carson pushed Brook to the brink. If the fight had been one round longer he would have stopped him. Instead of anyone noticing, it was attributed to Brooks poor training camp.
Carson's career is at a point where he cannot afford to lose if he ever hopes to become a world champion. He has 9 losses and like a cat that's all the lives you get.
If Carson wins tonight my biggest fear is that he still will not receive the credit he deserves. No one can seem to accept that every once in a while a person can rise from their humble origin and achieve something great and reach their true potential.
Boxing needs stories like Carson Jones.

Interesting post, I knew very little about Jones when he first came over, he made many fans that night. I like Brook, but it' frustrating to have them tell us how much better he's doing and how much more seriously he's taking it and then to have it at 152, 10 rounds and heavier gloves, how much more can he have it stacked in his favour? If the changes are there why not beat him over the same as last time convincingly this time? Good luck to you lot tonight.

I have the greatest respect for Matchroom and I like their matchmaker John very much. I would only do that if they claimed that anything I have said is not true. They haven't done that and won't.

Interesting background on Jones Bobby Dobbs but if Jones was most effective at 147 why take 152?

Because we lost the first fight and were not in the drivers seat. We wanted the rematch and accepted what we had to to get it.

Bobby was all over this board before the last fight. Maybe his internet connection let him down after the fight

Carson's loss last year didn't give me anything to be ashamed of. I didn't hide out. If anything people were impressed.

To be fair to bobby; specialist, he has made 200 odd posts in over 10 years of being a member; I can do that in a weekend if I get drunk enough.

It seems like he thinks of himself as Kell's 'true' dad which is nice to see :)

Terry did you actually get an interview with Bobby or did you just copy and paste what you put in this article from this thread?
