He has been hurt a few times. He is not made of granite.

Pascal end of round 5/6.
Dirrel stunned him.
Taylor dropped him.
Kessler stunned him.

The question is can a combination punching groves hurt him?

Yes.
Do you have a job? Or do you sit on YouTube all day to find the odd moment were Froch may have blinked a bit over his entire career?

Groove did come on board with some decent posts. It just seems like he is trolling Gomez with all recent posts & it's becoming silly.

Rattled/annoyed/frustrated/embarassed or not, Froch will destroy Groves within 5 rounds. If Kenny Anderson and Paul Smith can buzz Groves early on, Froch can muller him into submission.

It`s gonna be nasty. Can`t wait for it.

Does Groves bring a large number of fans?

I can't see that they were acting, Froch did look uncomfortable and when Eddie was sat on the couch between them he definitely looked a bit concerned !

Either way, it has got people talking about the fight which I guess was the point of the programme.

Even my missus said that she can't wait to watch the fight as the blonde one (I think she meant ginger) was a cocky git !

Looking forward to this one :bag:

I dont think Froch was rattled as such. It was more the case that he wanted to chin Groves but was doing his best to hold it together on tv.

Rattled to me would be more like he was unnerved by Groves to the extent that he thinks Groves's might beat him. I didnt get that feeling. It was more that Groves was like a little fly buzzing around his head annoying him.

IMO Froch was very uncomfortable sitting there and Groves definitely got under his skin but that wont have no bearing on the fight whatsoever,Carl,s experienced enough to not let that consume him come fight night,if Groves does happen to win it will be nothing to do with these mind games but its good TV

Carls problem is he thinks he,s more calm and articulated than he is and he kinda just says the same stuff leading up to every fight so when George was putting him on the spot he didnt want to let his guard down and bite although every cell in his body was urging him to so he looked as if he was squirming more than anything when in his own head he was wanting to look relaxed but was caught between emotions

Groves def looks like he,s got fire in his eyes coming into this one,ive never seen him so angry even with DeGale, could prove to be his undoing

Froch win on points,close
Great assessment. Froch is not the sharpest talker - and he seriously struggled in that studio with Groves niggling him at every opportunity. He looked pretty exasperated. Will it make a difference come fight night? I doubt it. When the leather starts flying that's when Froch feels most at home.

How has this thread gone on for nine pages?

Can we nip it in the bud? Froch isn't scared of George Groves. Groves isn't going to talk himself out of a violent beating. OP, you're ridiculous.

Sounds like he is saving it all up to batter George Groves come fight night. I think it is too much too soon for Groves and it is going to show.

I dont think it's that so much as I think his chin will let him down. Groves reminds me a bit of Bute in the sense they're both blessed with speed, power and good skills but their chins arent the sturdiest.

But everybody's entitled to their opinion :TU:
Kessler, a proven puncher, hit Froch square on the chin, hard, three times in the space of five seconds in the 11th round. Froch wobbled but came storming back in the round.

This led me to believe a single shot from a guy who hasn't proved to hit as hard as Kessler wouldn't end the fight, as you thought.

I didn't see it but people on the radio are saying Froch got bombed by a single shot in round 1... :o
