Oh but they do and the Sky Sports remark is the pertinent pointTeddy's Toupee wrote:No, a joke's a joke but palooka doesn't use brothels and his neighbours don't run a crack-house/of ill-repute. He does work hard and he is a thoughtful individual (who has skysports).
I am Fury's biggest fan, but I'm rational enough to know that Haye has lashed the cash on training camps just the same. Fury chartered a jet and hired a fleet of Rollers, that's his problem, not Haye's.SteveDow wrote:I'm not Fury's biggest fan but I have to say I do feel for him here.
He was basically a week away from earning £5m prior to Haye's first pull out and now the fight isn't happening at all. God knows how much the guy must have spent on that Belgian training camp also. Probably about £100k at least when sparring fees, travel costs, gym costs etc are factored in.
Sickening for Fury.
The difference is, I'm not blinded by it. I've been saying Fury is a future world champion since I first saw him.Grafton Acrylic wrote:I thought Horse was Fury's "biggest fan" ?keithmoonhangover wrote:I am Fury's biggest fan

I feel sorry for both of them too mate. They've both just seen the biggest payday available to them disappear. I don't see either of them getting £5,000,000 for fighting anyone else.SteveDow wrote:But the difference is that Haye has probably made about 15-20m in his career whereas Fury would barely have made a tenth of that and probably will never get the chance again. He certainly wouldn't earn anything like 5m if he fought a Klitschko without a belt.
By the way, I feel sorry for Haye also but I'm just saying I feel for Fury since he's missed out on the payday of a lifetime.

Main points :
Haye sent his poorly picture to the press.
The press phoned Mick Hennessy who in turn phoned the Fury's yesterday to let them know that the fight was off !
Peter Fury said that they never expected the fight to go ahead.
He said that the only way that Fury could get out of his contractual obligation to fight Tyson was via injury.
He reckons that there has been an issue for a while and now Haye has taken this opportunity to get it sorted now.
He also did not say that Haye was scared of Fury, but that he reckons Haye will not retire. He believes that Haye has been offered a fight with Vitali and this has promprted his actions.
He ended the interview by saying that Fury / Haye will never happen.
Not only that, but no "Team Fury" boxer will ever fight a "Team Hay/Booth" boxer.
Well I went to Germany to watch Haye so can tell you from experience, don't do it. He did nothing all night and then started crying about his toe. Anyone who goes over for that, unless its just for a piss up, is mad. He doesn't even have a punchers chance with Vitali.Finn wrote:bripez wrote:Just heard Peter Fury interviewed on Talksport.

I could believe that Haye has had an underlying shoulder injury and has decided to get it fixed now in order to get him out of a fight with fury if he has been offered a fight with one of the klitschkos. That doesnt sound in anyway mental conspiracy theorising to me.
Big question is do David Haye fans care if Haye is pulling out of a fight with Fury to fight Vitali Klitschko instead? because i sure as hell dont, i honestly believe Fury was just a hand picked opponent by the hayemaker camp and the fight was a mismatch anyway (the betting odds reflect that) and my sole reason for not buying tickets was because i didnt think it would go past 5 or 6 rounds. Sure it would have been entertaining in the novelty sense but Haye v Vitali is a proper fight.
If someone said to me right now pick a fight to watch Haye v Fury or Haye v Vitali Klitschko i would be booking tickets to germany thats for sure.
It doesn't sound like a mental conspiracy theory to me either though I'd not watch Haye again though I'm not really a fan of his.Finn wrote:bripez wrote:Just heard Peter Fury interviewed on Talksport.
