The powers that are running Sky boxing (into the ground) didn't do a full show reply so I didn't get to watch the fights in full as soon as I got back. On site, I thought Crolla edged it but Perez's punches were cleaner at times and his shots through the middle were especially good.
With the deductions thrown in it looked a fair shout.

Froch has got a stalker. I imagine Carl will be found buried in a Boxrec poster's garden, wearing a dress and with an orange in his mouth.crusader wrote:Carl Froch was at the fights

Watched again on Sky scored it 116-112 Crolla. His defence was impressive I thought watching in the TV. Perez is decent had success with the right hand and should have used more. A fair few lightweights I would fancy to beat Perez though.

As long as it's done in front of a crowd of 80,000 I'm sure he'll be fine with it :Ppalooka wrote:I'm sure he won't mind.reggaereggae wrote:Froch has got a stalker. I had a sneaky feeling Quigg would get an early KO but still very impressive,Kiko won the first but that uppercut in the next round was textbook and so was the right hand to finish it,Scott's one of the best finishers in boxing IMO and I'm glad he's getting some kudos and a lot of support
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
I agree, that uppercut that did for Martinez was ace. His whole body wilted to it. I thought he was surviving though, great hook to finish him. Quigg finished it strong against a class opponent.handsofstone wrote:I had a sneaky feeling Quigg would get an early KO but still very impressive,Kiko won the first but that uppercut in the next round was textbook and so was the right hand to finish it,Scott's one of the best finishers in boxing IMO and I'm glad he's getting some kudos and a lot of support

In what sense does a serial killer look good?Terry Dooley wrote:

Just look for the football pitch with the George Groves' shaped hole in the turf, there can't be many of them about.Terry Dooley wrote:Sorry to go OT, but can reggae or one of the London lads serve me up some insider directions to Wembley. I want to, erm, look at that hallowed turf.

"You must have seen some things, man."
"Yeah. I remember doing a tour of Wembley. The enemy came at me with a tank, but I've got two rockets—one's called K and the other's call O—so I used them to get us out of trouble. It was intense. Eight thousand people lost their souls that night, because that's how many people were present in the enemy ranks. The whole of Nottingham came down there, all 70,000 of them. The city lost millions in revenue that night and struggled to recover.
...But I really don't like talking about it."
