Exactly, stuffs surely going to come out in the next few weeksExoddus wrote:How can they fight in October? What's going to happen with Tyson Fury and his failed drugs test?
Yes. This isn't capturing the publics imagination at all.mullenman wrote:Anybody else think this fight won't happen and if it does happen the arena won't be near full
Me. I didn't think the first one would happen either. I don't know what it is, but certain shows fall apart all too often and I wouldn't have any confidence buying a ticket for the oct 29th date. I expect Eddie will do his best to run a counter promotion too, to draw ticket buyers his way.mullenman wrote:Anybody else think this fight won't happen and if it does happen the arena won't be near full
If Eddie was involved in this fight it would be the biggest fight in the UK ever ever ever..JimJim2009 wrote:Me. I didn't think the first one would happen either. Not quite the biggest ever but Eddie ( with Sky) would make this a massive fight. The tickets are twice what Frampton and Quigg was. I think the interest is there for sure but I've read some 2nd tier tickets were £150. Really a fight of this magnitude should be sold out in a few days. First lineal heavyweight title fight in the UK since 1998 and before that it was 1966 !mullenman wrote:If Eddie was involved in this fight it would be the biggest fight in the UK ever ever ever..JimJim2009 wrote:Me. I think the promotion for this fight of the two premier heavyweights on the planet is awful
The numbers don't stack up for me if it's not on PPV and in a sell out stadium, which will only happen if the fight is held in Germany.freddydoesdallas wrote:Yes. If it was priced competitively it would help.
Absolutely. Surely Wlad would demand assurances that the drugs issue and/or ticket sales aren't going to render his training camp futile. Any 60k stadium in Germany sells out.keithmoonhangover wrote:The numbers don't stack up for me if it's not on PPV and in a sell out stadium, which will only happen if the fight is held in Germany.freddydoesdallas wrote:Yes. The fight fans who would go to this event over here would probably travel over to Germany for it anywaydeadpan wrote:Absolutely. There's just something really strange about this whole thing IMO.deadpan wrote: Absolutely. Surely Wlad would demand assurances that the drugs issue and/or ticket sales aren't going to render his training camp futile. Any 60k stadium in Germany sells out.
What do you think needs to happen? Fury is pretty much a weekly story in the national newspapers so his profile couldn't be higher (it could of course be a bit more positive), Wladimir is an international superstar (recognition wise), it's the rightful heavyweight championship of the world, people do know about it but just don't seem to care.mickey1975 wrote:The bottom line is Meaty Mick is not up to the job and unfortunately, neither are BN.
Hennessy is terrible anybody can see that. It's good that the Fury's are loyal to him but when you think of other fighters he's had they didn't go anywhere really until they left him. I don't really care who promotes who so forgive me if I'm wrong but didn't he have DeGale fighting in shopping centres and wasn't Carl Froch with him when couldn't get arrested despite facing murderer's row?mickey1975 wrote:The bottom line is Meaty Mick is not up to the job and unfortunately, neither are BN.
Fury has never been a big ticket seller, the first fight was as dull as the paintwork on a ten year old Corse and Fury has upset a lot of people. Put them all together and it's not pretty. I've always been a Fury fan and I predicted him winning a world title, but I have no appetite for a rematch.freddydoesdallas wrote:What do you think needs to happen? It's a strange scenario
Not going to happen is it. Fury is going to be pickpocketed by the sanctioning bodies for his titles too and will probably never lose one, or defend one, in the ringmickey1975 wrote:Bonte now saying he doesn't care what Fury tweets, no date or venue has been agreed.
