As you can see by RR's response some people don't care he mentions the fighters ages, records but conveniently leaves out what weight each fighter
currently fights at.
We all know what weights they started fighting at. What weight they met at in 2006. What weights they have most recently been fighting at and that in February they will be fighting at 83 kg.
These weights have already been mentioned many times in this thread and many, many times in other threads by me and others.
The weight limit for this fight is 83 kg. They both signed on for it.

Who says there will be little interest in the Mundine vs Green rematch?
All of the tables near ringside - there are more than 50 of them - have already sold out at $10,000 a table. That's half a million dollars just there by my calculations.
There are also no more tickets left for the playing arena. That's 6,000 of the best and most expensive seats all sold.

About as believable as scalpers were on the job the very day it was announced

In case you are unaware, I lived in Adelaide half of my life and was ANBF SA Branch committee member until I moved to Gold Coast at end of 2000, as such I'm well aware what Adelaide's boxing is capable of - attendance wise
e.g. In early 90's Master Blaster Ellis was still a name & fought twice in Adelaide. Each time he barely drew around 1,000 & fair few were freebies.
In mid 90's locals Garth Cussion & Gavin Ryan were crowd pullers. Both managed to attract around 2,000 at ABCOS Stadium.
Off hand I recall, Cussion vs John Marceta for Oz light heavy title drew close to capacity 3,000 at ABCOS & then again there was numerous freebies.

Do you honestly think they would have chosen to hold this fight in Adelaide if they didn't think they could pull a crowd?
Outside of Mundine''s absurd idea to hold the fight in Uluru, this fight would have pulled a huge crowd wherever it was held.
Make a prediction of the final crowd. I say they will get in excess of 28,000 plus. What is your prediction?

Yeah it will sell well they probably mean little interest among serious boxing fans.

There are also plenty of posters who rate themselves as serious boxing fans, and who claim to have little interest in the fight, posting on it daily aren't there? None more so than yourself.

It is anticipated 37,000 will attend. There will be plenty of REAL BOXING people among them and many will travel interstate to be there. There will also be plenty of REAL BOXING people watching it on PPV.

The reality is it is a REAL BOXING MATCH and it will sell like few others in the history of Australian boxing.
Funny how those claiming the fight is irrelevant just can't stop talking about it

Ha ha true but that's mainly because Mundine and Green are high profile. People on forums discuss what's current but don't necessarily watch what they discuss and argue about on boxing forums. I mean Pac-Vargas was $40 with a stacked undercard,Ward-Kovalev will be $30 and a decent card.
Green-Mundine will be $50 with the Maloney twins fighting Thai/Philo/Indo cans with some other mismatches. Doubt many serious fans will part with a pineapple or go midweek to a pub/club full of yobbos to watch 2 past prime egomaniacs fight. But a lot of casuals will they are good self promoters.

at the WACA they will pack the joint to the rafter's plus they'll need speaker's at the gates so some one can call it on radio to all the people that couldn't get in this would be a much bigger fight for Green not some Jr Middle who's getting dropped in sparring.

You cannot claim the fight is irrelevant when you want to talk about it every day. That makes it relevant to you by definition
As for people parting with money to watch the fight. You just watch them. It is going to turn over significant millions whether you try and pretend otherwise or not, and it will be a mixture of people from hardcore fans to theater goers who part with that money.

Like a boss I get what you're saying but disagree. Lets face it we will probably all buy/watch the Parker-Horn card on this forum but only 1/3 of posters here will buy/watch Green-Mundine 2 card. That's what I mean by real boxing fans(even though there is far more discussion on the forum about Green-Mundine 2 than Parker-Ruiz,Horn-Funeka). Green-Mundine 2 will sell much, much better because of media saturation and casuals.

The only part I agree with is we disagree
When there is more discussion about something there is more interest in it. I'm amazed anyone could have trouble grasping that concept. Particularly when you are the person posting most about Green vs Mundine.
There is a whole lot more discussion here about Green vs Mundine than Parker vs Ruiz, and a whole lot more people will attend Green vs Mundine than will attend Parker vs Ruiz.
Vector Arena holds about 10,000 and I hope they fill it for Parker vs Ruiz.
But Adelaide Oval holds in excess of 50,000 people and the optimistic projection is 37,000 will attend Green vs Mundine. I will be surprised if they get less than 28,000.

To Green and Mundine, their superannuated clash of the titans is relevant, it's just their antiquity that is the relevant in the room.

You conveniently left out the part where I said
real boxing fans. I mean more people attend WWE than will attend Parker-Ruiz/Horn-Funeka
doesn't make it more meaningful.

Are these "real" fans you refer to not "hardcore" fans? Perhaps you'd better explain the difference?

Green will obviously weigh in at close enough to 83 kg and Mundine likely weigh in around 80 kg.
Which rule in the rule book are you claiming that breaches? Feel free to state the rule below. Or is this just more sensationalism for the sake of sensationalism?
