Yes Yarde hasn't put a foot wrong yet So far as a pro, but it all seems a bit too good to be true at the moment! He's making it look too easy :)handsofstone wrote:Anthony Yarde up next, for me the most exciting prospect in world boxing, scary natural power and looks a beautiful boxer too, if he can take a solid shot then I reckon he goes all the way
He doesn't load up too much despite being a great finisher so hopefully that bodes well for his staminaknockout wrote:Yes Yarde hasn't put a foot wrong yet So far as a pro, but it all seems a bit too good to be true at the moment! He started so late in the game and is incredibly large at the weight. I wonder if those two issues will hold him back at some point ?!
I thought Sosa beat Smith a lot more convincingly than Pedraza personally altho granted I haven't rewatched either fight.crusader wrote:Sosa's stoppage of Fortuna is better than any win Pedraza has, and Sosa beat Stephen Smith by about the same margins that Pedraza did. Smith gets hyped by certain British fans, but his best win is probably over Klimov, who has generally been beaten when he faces good opposition.
Walters was coming up, but I feel that he's still better than Pedraza and Walsh. Factor Loma's KTFO of Martinez, and I don't at all think it's clear that Davis would have the stronger 130 resume
Thanks mate. Trying to get up the road on time. Forgot to record it. Wasn't too fussed about the rest of the fights. Yarde probably won't last long.handsofstone wrote:Think its after Yarde mateStuarty30 wrote:Any news on when the main event is on yet?
Sosa lucked out on that punch he was down on scorecards and caught Fortuna. I give him credit but I think if they fought again Fortuna would win.crusader wrote:Sosa's stoppage of Fortuna is better than any win Pedraza has, and Sosa beat Stephen Smith by about the same margins that Pedraza did. world ranked wrote:I don't that version of Martinez and Sosa isn't better than either Pedraza or Walsh. Walters was really at 126 even though Lomo came in at 126 at Walters wasn't proven at 130. With a win today I think its clear to me Davis has better but clearly ISNT the better fighter.crusader wrote:At 130 Loma has Walters, Martinez, and Sosaworld ranked wrote:
Well if Davis can continue to win against lesser known guys like Walsh and Tevin Farmer he's profile will continue rise. I think he beats Corrales though. But at 130 many don't have better wins Corrales and Berchelt. As good as Lomo is and hes levels better than Davis but AT 130 Davis has the better win of two.
If Davis wins he'll have Pedraza and Walsh
Even assuming a win today, I'm not so sure that Davis's 130 resume > Loma's 130 resume
Sosa didn't get lucky in my opinion. He showed his toughness, weathered the storm, and came back to grind Fortuna down. After that he beat Smith at least as convincingly as Pedraza did, and if you want to criticize performances, then Pedraza was given hell by Edgar Cherry and only squeaked out a split decision.world ranked wrote:Sosa lucked out on that punch he was down on scorecards and caught Fortuna. But in comparing opponents. Do you think Sosa would beat either Walsh or Pedraza? How about Martinez at that stage Lomo fought him Martinez has gotten a lot of decision or both sides mostly on the winning side. Would that version really beat Walsh or Pedraza. Again what had Walters done at 130 unproven. How can u rate that win at 130 and he really beat Sosa.

I just think its funny we add Walters as a win at 130 when Lomo fought at 126 for the fight but ok. I'm not saying Davis resume is that much greatercrusader wrote:Sosa didn't get lucky in my opinion. Sure, Walters had moved up to 130, but his previous showings lead me to believe that he's still a better fighter there than Walsh and Pedraza are. You single him out for being unproven, yet Walsh's best win is over Andrey Klimov; do you really think Walters would have any sort of problems with a guy that limited?
Martinez is limited, but he's a tough guy, was top ten, and can't just be ignored in the comparison when Davis's only two wins of note are over Pedraza and Walsh (assuming a win today of course).
Loma: Walters, Sosa, Martinez
Davis: Pedraza and Walsh
It's not clear at all that Davis would have the superior resume
Well spotted!handsofstone wrote:Funnily enough it was Morgan who looked a bit like Maussa after Hatton left him in a heap on the floor, that's not me being crass BTW I mean more to do with the way their bodies slumped after getting KO'ddookus wrote:Pigford is a like a tidier Carlos Maussa (without the sneaky left hand to the thigh)
