Not as bad as when Jim Neilly said that Barrera was honouring his great friend Johnny Tapia by having Tapia on his shorts.
Are you serious? Did he actually say this!!!
Ha, yeah pretty sure I remember that

Lord, that is unforgivable

Well the show wasn’t as good as I anticipated unfortunately, but perhaps that was my own fault - I was expecting the 4 fights at the top of the card to all be a lot more competitive than they turned out. Still enjoyed a fair bit of it though.

I agree, I predicted Hall, Brophy and Stalker

Fielding early rounds mate - wasn't much of a contest, and wasn't main event - was one of the first fights on SKY

Pretty sure some of Butler's own fans will have told Nick they thought Hall won

Despite strong competition, Jim Neilly stands alone in being the worst commentator I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing.

Already been on matey. Chisora win...
chuffin hell! was it a quick un?
Chisora messed around for a few rounds, even the opponent got sleepy and kept trying to cuddle chisora. Ref stopped the opponent on his feet as was just a pointless fight. Tune up or not.

Tasha Jonas looks decent, throws some decent combo's. Thought Fowler did a good job, stopped a lad cash & kelly couldn't. Clever of fowler to go for the body. Scott Fitzgerald would've learnt a lot tonight, hopefully a title fight next for him. Fielding surprised me, seemed back to his best since the smith fight, building his confidence back. Twat cost me 2k tho as had all other 3 outcomes. Dodd is a great story, dunno how he keeps doing it tbh as technically he's all over the shop. Farrell, area level as someone else said, hopefully Davies learnt what a boxing heart is, if nothing else. Butler looked very good, but a bit worried about his power at bantamweight, although Hall has always had a boss chin and mcdonnell doesn't exactly have power. Decent show.

Annoying that they put Fielding on so early as that was probably the one I was most interested in seeing. I turned it on and he'd just KO'd Brophy.
Other fights - Stalker vs Dodd - decent enough fight to watch but could have easily predicted it would go like this, not sure what all the nuthugging for Stalker was for, he's a weak pro with zero power, don't care what he did in the amateurs.
O'Hara Davies vs Farrell - Very predictable, a prospect with no power fed mostly on low level guys vs a very good British/Euro level guy with massive power in Davies. Only one ending and that was what happened. Should have been stopped sooner.
Butler vs Stuey Hall - Was anyone really bothered about this fight? Hall way past his prime, after 2-3 predictable rounds I stuck Match Of The Day on. I agree an initially promising looking card turned out to be very mediocre.

I still don't think Davies has this massive power that people claim. Sure he landed on Farrell and he looked hurt but was able to carry on for a few rounds.
At the moment I'm not convinced he is British level. He turned down Tyrone Nurse for the British title last year so how can he be higher than British level ?
I said after the scarpa fight he wasn't that good and I still stand by it. He will be matched VERY carefully as he was last night.

Masher Dodd should get more credit than he does. I was very confident he would beat Stalker and he won pretty easily.
He's not good technically but he has really grafted to get where he is. He is comfortable British level and there is no shame in that. I would like him to fight the Barrett Ritson winner for the British title which should rightfully be his anyway.

He's a LOT better than Stalker in all departments, let's get that one clear. There seems to be have been a large amount of disrespect for Dodd in the build up, the condescending comments from some in the 'boxing community' about how he's come from nothing, no amateur background, therefore it was gona be easy street for Stalker if he just 'stuck to the boxing'. What a joke. And yes Paul Smith I include you in that.

Yeh I only really talk about power at levels. I think Davies is very heavy handed at British level. He's also crude though, so those with real skill and a bit of a dig themselves will no doubt beat him, like Taylor did. At the level he was pitched last night, he will smash most of them to bits. I can defo see O'Hara getting a British belt though at some stage.

Can't see him going for the British title. With Crawford probably going to drop his belts and move up its going to be a free for all.
Ohara got a toy WBA belt last night and we know the WBA bend over backwards for Hearn. I reckon Ohara fights for the WBA belt next year.
That's the way boxing is now you don't have to beat anyone that good to get a chance at one of these titles. A vacant belt could be against someone poor as well.
