Yeah, I was proper nervous at the start.Deadendgeneration wrote:Glad that's over, despite how obvious it had become I was still pretty nervy.
It was typical Mayweather. Just have a look and don't take much, still with him being out the ring a few years and the money I'd put on I was fairly shitting it.Covfefe wrote:Yeah, I was proper nervous at the start.Deadendgeneration wrote:Glad that's over, despite how obvious it had become I was still pretty nervy.
I expected more unorthodoxy from McGregor to be honest, especially early on. Mayweather did what I expected, had a look at him, figured him out and did the job.Deadendgeneration wrote:It was typical Mayweather. I thoroughly enjoyed that too. Like yourself, I thought he'd be trying a lot more of that sort of stuff from the off.Covfefe wrote:The only great moment of that fight was McGregor trying to run across Mayweather to confuse him and Mayweather just clocked him with a hook. I laughed out loud.
Definitely. I thought that was the chance he had, show him things he'd never seen before. He tried a couple of times to find odd angles but it just didn't work. Can't fault his effort and chin, but Mayweather is just too good.Deno1986 wrote:I thoroughly enjoyed that too. fornicate that.Ricky_ wrote:For a guy that essentially took a 3 month crash course in boxing to then step in with an alltime great, McGregor was thoroughly impressive.
He should just retire though, he's a middleweight and would get annihilated vs anyone at world level for a fraction of the purse.

Malignaggi. St Patrick's Day.
Don't be soft. Far too sloppy. Malignaggi has a good and all he has to do is work the body. Easy win for Paulie, possibly by stoppage.Ricky_ wrote:Covfefe wrote:eff that.Ricky_ wrote:For a guy that essentially took a 3 month crash course in boxing to then step in with an alltime great, McGregor was thoroughly impressive.

He would beat Malignaggi easy.
No chance. Malignaggi is completely washed up and could barely stop a paper bag in his prime. McGregor showed at least enough technical ability vs Floyd to lead me to think he's around British level... factor in that he'd have a huge weight advantage over Malignaggi who has never had any business above 140, it's hard to see how Paulie wins.Covfefe wrote:Don't be soft. Breaking him down to the body. Mayweather left the body after five rounds and McGrefor was breathing out of his arse, a proper sustained attack over ten rounds Paulie breaks him. Paulie has a cracking chin, and is more than good enough to evade Conor's shots.Ricky_ wrote:No chance. Malignaggi is completely washed up and could barely stop a paper bag in his prime. Malignaggi. St Patrick's Day.
I genuinely read that and thought 'why St Patrick's Day? Malignaggi is Italian.'
