The Michael van Gerwen test is always one to think about in these cases. Nobody thinks a tubby Dutchman became the best darts player in the world after taking a load of PED's, but he did transform his career from that of a failing to live up to the hype prospect routinely knocked out of tournaments in the early stages to comfortably the best player on the planet.
Whilst darts isn't as physically exerting as boxing of course it is a physical activity; you can't think your way to the top. In that sense, it demonstrates an individual can make serious progression in a short space of time thanks to practice, improved technique and natural ability.
When the same happens in a more strenuous sport we immediately think of drugs, and some cases are obviously proven. But I find it hard to believe that Joshua's shape is simply 'impossible' without drugs. If it was really that obvious everyone would be saying it, which is where we end up in a Fury supporters conspiracy web; namely 'they' are protecting an obviously juiced Joshua whilst targetting an obviously innocent Fury.
